It's been a while...
Wow, I can't believe it's been since September since I updated this site! I guess when DH's schedule changed, it totally got me out of the routine of things! I am trying to get Lexi back on her Before Five in a Row schedule and update this more often!

5:00 is too early for me...
I usually blog in the morning right after DH leaves to go to work at about 6:30. I wake up about 6 and make us breakfast (eggs, toast/bagels, fruit, OJ, coffee) and we eat and talk for about 15-20 min. before he leaves. Well, he is starting to have to work overtime and be at work at 6:00 every morning which means he has to get up at 5:00 and leave at 5:30. I just can't handle that. Plus we don't have time to eat breakfast together or we would have to get up at 4:30-- I don't think so. But since I don't wake up with him, I usually end up sleeping in until the girls wake up at 7:30 or 8. This totally throws my day off and I don't have much computer time at all. Which explains why my blogs have been so sporadic lately. Here is what's been going on:
We started rowing Ask Mr. Bear this week. It is a story about a little boy who is trying to figure out what to get his mom for her birthday. He asks all these different animals, until he comes to Mr. Bear and he tells him to give his mom "a big birthday bear hug". It's really sweet. I haven't done many of the activities with Lexi because they just aren't as good as the previous ones. We have practiced skipping, galloping, hopping etc. like the little boy does in the book. We have talked about what each animal has to offer him (the hen: an egg, the goat: cheese, etc). She did really good with that part. She pretty much remembered all of it and the book says not to expect kids her age to be able to recite more than one. (sorry, *proud mama moment*
)
I go at 4:30 to get my results from the MRI. I am trying not to be nervous but it's hard. I know that logically there probably isn't anything wrong, but the neurotic part of me is telling me otherwise. My dad said he takes a B-vitamin supplement and that helps his anxiety. He gave me some to try but I don't know if you can take extra B on top of a multi-vitamin. I googled it but haven't found many results. If anyone knows anything about this let me know!
Anyways, I'm about to take the girls to my mom's house to eat lunch!

Things are going good...
Things I am thankful for right now....
They delivered my dishwasher today(yay!)
My MRI went good Wednesday and they haven't called me yet so I assume no news is good news.
The girls are feeling better.
I'm still not sick.
My house is clean (mostly).
I found these awesome patterns to make Lexi and Autumn's halloween costumes out of the other day and I finished cutting out all of Autumn's pattern.
DH is coming home early today.
The girls are taking a nap right now.
DH is grilling steak for dinner.
I'm in a wonderful mood!

Hypochondria
I have had it since I was little. I remember lying in bed when I was about six years old, terrified that I had breast cancer. I had heard about it on T.V. or something and I was too embarrassed to ask my mom about it. I just layed in bed night after night crying myself to sleep because I was sure that I had a lump and that I was going to die shortly. This went on for months until I finally got up the guts to tell my mom I wanted to go to the Dr. about it. Of course, she assured me that I was six, and didn't even have breasts, let alone cancer.
My Paw-Paw had hypochondria too. Maybe it's hereditary.
Anyway, I've been having strange headaches and dizziness for a while now and I went to the Dr. so he could give me something to take for it. He wanted to send me to a neurologist. Of course that scared me! So I went to the neurologist last week and he wanted me to have an MRI, "just to make sure". So apparently this is pretty routine, but I have an appointment today at 5:00 to get it done that I'm pretty nervous about! My stomach has butterflies and I'm all shakey and stuff. Ugh.
Happier note: I took Lexi yesterday to pet the bunnies at the pet store to go along with The Little Rabbit. She wanted to take one home with her of course! She's really upset though about how in the book, the little baby bunnies have to be given away. She wants them to stay with their Mommy. It's sweet. She stayed the night with my mom last night. She told her she wanted to have a "slumber party". Who can resist that?

Our Weekend
Well, my little one's rashes cleared up and we had a great time! Friday night we went to my parents house and ate pizza. Saturday morning we woke up and went on the picnic that I had planned on going last week to go along with The Yellow Ball. We had a blast! We went to the park and laid out a big blanket by the water and ate Sonic breakfast burritos (we went early)! It was a beautiful day. Lexi tried to feed the ducks and Autumn toddled around exploring. Later that afternoon, after naps, we went back to my parents house and they grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. That night, after we got home and put the girls to bed, DH's best friend came over and we played board games. Sunday morning we went to church and Lexi sat with us in "big church" for the first time. We were in a new building and she was afraid to go to her class. She did really well, except once when it was quiet she said "I smell something!" quite loudly! It was hilarious. Sunday evening DH and I watched movies together (Disturbia was decent but I didn't care for Talladega Nights). Yesterday, DH sold his truck he's been trying to sell for like 3 months (yay!). Then last night we went to our neighbor's house (they are wonderful). They have a 3 year old little boy that Lexi and Autumn like to play with. We played Texas Hold em with them (not for money) and ate pizza.
So that was our busy weekend update. Oh yeah, we started rowing The Little Rabbit yesterday. It's really cute. We talked about how the pictures were different in this book because they were real pictures, not drawings. We got out Lexi's baby book and showed her that those were real pictures of her when she was a baby. I tried to talk DH into letting me get them a pet rabbit (you know, to go along with the story.....) but it didn't work. Oh well.
