May. 30, 2007 - Settled in
We are now settled into our apartment. I'm so thankful God placed us in the perfect spot. We are right at the edge of the campus. The apartment is bigger than the one we had last summer and has plenty of room for us. It is furnished, and the carpet was shampooed before we arrived. The children are super excited because we have a swimming pool, which they tried out last night, in the dark and rain. It wasn't very warm out and the pool water was cold, but my little Alaskan kiddos had a blast! There is still a slight problem with Tony's class schedule, and we are waiting for that to be resolved. Classes don't start until next week, so we have some time to just "breathe", be together, and get re-acquainted with this city. Too bad it is raining again today, because we'd like to have some warm weather to play outside in. The forecast calls for a couple days of rain and thunderstorms. It is around 80* out, though. I think today we will finish getting our things out of our storage unit and maybe take a drive over to a little town called "Seminary". We went there a couple times last summer and met a man who is involved in a group of classic car owners. They meet the first Saturday of the month at different locations around here, so I thought it'd be fun to find out where they'll be meeting for June. That's about it, I guess. Things have slowed down and the "rush" to get here is over. Too bad they changed the schedule, we could have spent more time with Tony's family in Minnesota. As it is, though, we have plenty of time to settle in and adjust to being back in Mississippi. Thank you for your prayers and for keeping in touch with us. Love, Leah ps. I'll get some film developed soon and try to post some pictures.

I just said this but my kids are nuts too when it comes to swimming as long as there's water they could care less about how cold the water is or how cold it is outside! Little Madison's lips were bright purple last night and she was shivering like...well something that shivers a lot? I wish we had a big pool so I could get crazy too!
K, bye. =)
