"The days are long, but the years are fleeting."

Jan. 31, 2008 - His handiwork

Today was a beautiful day and I couldn't help but be reminded that it was truly a gift from God.  I took some pictures, and hope you enjoy them.

God bless,

~Leah

As the sun was rising, I drove down the driveway and around the hill to the TOP, my parent's house.

Every tree, every branch was covered in a delicate yet hearty layer of frost.  It was breathtaking!

And it seemed as if God made the morning sky even bluer than usual, just so we could enjoy the beauty of the contrasting colors.

Some early morning squirrel tracks.

These next three pictures look as if the trees themselves are lifting their arms to praise the Lord!

The fog bank, covering the Inlet (body of water) and hiding the mountain view.  It looks so ominous, but beautiful.

This is my favorite tree at my parents' house.  It's twisty, and even cooler in the pink of morning.

Every needle adorned!

Morning at the neighbor's barn.

Frost on the limbs.  Amazing, Lord.  Thank you.

Hello Leah,
Beautiful pictures!!! They ALMOST make me miss Alaska! *big smile*. It was 29* here yesterday morning and Dailee and I almost couldn't handle it, how quickly we become wimps.
So how is everything with the fam? Your kids are getting cuter by the day, and it seems as though you are shrinking away. How is Tony liking his job?
Well, thanks for your blog, it is one of my favorite internet places to visit.
Well, big hugs.

Leah, those pictures are breathtaking. Wonderful eye for His beauty and grace!
I posted the authors I have been reading on my blog under favorite reads. Dee Henderson, Ted Dekker, Terri Blackstock, and Travis Thrasher are some recent good reads. I search for Christian Suspense when I look in the library catalog. : )

Hi Leah. Coming swimming on Friday. Bringing Madi's stepbrother and stepsister. I think Spencer and mom are coming too. Are you guys going for sure? Also, do you have play practice that night? What time? And what about extra kids? When do they get picked up? Sorry about all the ?????s, but I have something I want to do. Why don't you give me a call when you have a minute. Oh, started my job this week. Love it so far.

Hi Leah - Thanks for the congrats on my blog for winning the Wii. I am so excited to visit Alaska. We will be there towards the end of June, flying into Anchorage, then going to Denali and to the Fjords, whale watching, etc. My son is more excited about this trip than any other we have been on. The pictures are beautiful!
