Mar. 17, 2009 - What's Going On Around Here?
I thought I'd post a few pictures here and give a little update on life in the Jackson home. I have a feeling there are a few family members and friends who still check in here at our blog, but don't leave comments. I'm sorry I'm not better at posting more frequently, but I seem to stay super busy just being the WifeMomChefMaidChauffeurLady.

Homeschooling is going well. Evelyn is already mostly finished with her Kindergarten work for the year, and loves to rub it in to her siblings who are still slaving away. :) Guitar and violin music fills the house often and we are very proud of the progress everyone has made. Oliver is wrapping up 2nd grade, Sully will soon be a 7th grader, and Celina is conquering 9th grade nicely.

Remington continues to brighten our world with his happy personality and silly faces. Today he started saying "Da-Da" in the cutest whisper! He rolls over and stands while I hold his hands. He is an absolute DELIGHT to have around!

We're still getting plenty of new snow. You know what they say about march coming in like a lion... well it's more like a polar bear around here! ...Or a moose!

Sometimes we just do random silly things... just to hear each other laugh!!

The volcano across the inlet has been showing off and yesterday she let off some steam and ash. Her name is Mt. Redoubt and we think she is awesome!

What else... oh, we're taking advantage of Tony's Spring Break and repainting the entire kitchen, dining, and living rooms. It's going well and Celina and Tony are doing most all of it. I AM helping, in between meals, nursing the baby, changing diapers and keeping Thing3 and Thing 4 from killing each other. I always enjoy watching Tony and Celina work together because they have such a good, jovial relationship.

That's the latest from the Alaskan Jacksons. Schooling, loving, laughing, painting, and just BEING together. Life is good, and God continues to show Himself to us daily. We are so blessed and have so many things to be thankful for. These are tough times, but we still have it so much better than millions of others in the world.
In Christ,
Leah

This post put a smile on my face (as do all of your posts)! I am always glad to see your awesome, cute pictures and to read what you write. Your words are very eloquent and your thoughts are fun to read.
I just can't get over how incredibly cute Remington is!! :) And Celina and Tony looked like they were having a blast.
And I'm sorry I haven't commented in quite some time... but please know that I think your blog is fantastic and I always enjoy your posts. But most of all, know that I love YOU!!!

Thanks, Kaiya! Sure do love and miss you, too. Can hardly wait to see you again.
Geri- stop by and see the progress! We aren't done painting yet. There aren't many big changes, but it sure looks clean and fresh!
Kathy- thank you for taking the time to comment. :) Alaska sure has some great fishing, and it is a wonderful place to raise a family. I've lived here my whole life, but have visited 28 of the states. Alaska is my favorite. You can't beat the mountains, beaches, and vast expanses of untamed wilderness! Hope you make it up here one day. :) God bless!

That's great. Funny - more like a moose or a polar bear :) Apparently.
I love picture of your son with the cone things on his head. I've heard about Mt. Redoubt. I hope it's not too close - but we have Mt. St Helens practically in our backyard. She's been quiet lately though.

Leah,
I don't commet because I am not good at keeping up on the computer. I don't e-mail very well either. :) My excuse would be that once I get home, which is usually late, I don't get on the computer and e-mail. I really enjoy hearing about your life and what is happening at home. Keep on writing. I am going to have a friend help me make a more interesting blog and how to keep up with it with pics and text.
Later, Tina
