Apr. 2, 2009 - Poll
Hi all, sorry I didn't get this poll up sooner. You have until Saturday to cast your vote on the "which sire retired last year has the most potential at stud?" poll.
Here's the lineup:
.
Curlin: Smart Strike x Sheriff's Deputy. This outstanding horse had an amazing track career. His first breeding was to Maggy Hawk, dam of 2005 Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes winner Afleet Alex. Stands at Lane's End (which is also where his sire stands), $75,000 stands and nurses.
.
Big Brown: Boundary x Mien. HAVE I EVER MENTIONED HOW MUCH I CAN'T STAND THIS HORSE OR HIS TRAINER??????????? UGH UGH UGH!!!! Stands at Three Chimneys, $65,000 stands and nurses.
.
Raven's Pass: Elusive Quality x Ascutney. Won the 2008 Breeders' Cup Classic at age 3 and was retired right after said win. Over 140 mares fromaround the world booked to him for this year. Stands at Kildangan Stud, Co., in Ireland, approx. $55,200 in American dollars, probably stands and nurses.
.
So there it is!! Like before, I'll change my profile pic to one of the winner and you have until Saturday to vote. Thanks!!

I pick Curlin...or Raven's Pass...I don't care as long as it ISN'T Big Brown! I rode B.B. to glory in the Derby and at Pimlico. We woulda, coulda, shoulda won the whole Triple Crown - til goofball couldn't run as fast as a mule without steroids - but I'm not bitter or anything - just picking Curlin...or Ravens Pass...or any horse, gelding OR mare to be a better stud than Big Brown.

Your readers better pick Big Brown or else. If not, they're just stupid #**@#'s with no more sense than "K.D." That fool couldn't lead a horse out of the **##@* rain - let alone win a big time race. My vote is as big as my ego - and therefore counts for more than all your other fool voters combined - I VOTE FOR BIG BROWN!!
