| HsKubes' Gal, has (with Miss Peggy's permission) adapted The Simple Woman's Daybook to A Young Maiden's Daybook for us young ladies who are not quite women yet. You can read her orginal post regarding it here.

Today… August 17, 2009
Outside my window… It's bright and sunny and not too hot...yet.
I am thinking… how embarrassing and educational it can be to look back over old failed manuscripts...you see the flaws so much more cleary than when you were writing it! There are SO many things that the "editor" part of me sees that need to be fixed but I have to work on my new manuscripts not the discarded ones :). (Not to mention, it wouldn't be the same if I went back and changed things!)
I am thankful for… my new watch! Thank you, Daddy and Mama! (I hope this one will last as long as my old one :))
I am wearing... A light blue shirt and dark blue jean skirt
I am reading… The Bible (Proverbs right now) and Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper (I read to my Dad and sometimes Mom, too). I can't believe I forgot to mention it on here...we've been reading it for awhile. It's a great book! I'm getting closer and closer to finishing my summer 2009 booklist. (And the summer is getting closer and closer to finishing itself!)
I am creating… Drawings, novels, articles, etc. The series of posts I mentioned last week *should* start tomorrow. We'll see :).
One of my favorite things... freedom!
For education this week… Writing, reading, drawing, piano, knitting, and more.
A keeper at home skill I am using/learning … how to wake up early? Does that count ;)?
A spiritual lesson I’m learning… the difference between a wise person and a foolish person. I want to be wise!
A godly character trait I plan to work on… Being wise
Scripture I am memorizing… I will be working on some verses in 1 & 2 Corinthians.
I am praying for… Various people and unreached people groups/countries.
For the rest of the week… a ton of writing, a little reading, a lot of drawing, some piano, no idea how much knitting, and whatever else pops up! |

Thanks a lot!
