September Field Trip

 On a beautiful Fall day in September, we took a field trip with several other homeschool families to Royal Oak Farm & Orchard in Harvard, Illinois. The field trip included an informational presentation in this teepee,    then a hay wagon tour of the orchard,  picking five apples each (the first time for all of us Smith crew!),     a small jug of apple cider and an apple donut and some play time visitng a small petting and the fun play area. Apple Fact: Did you know that the number of seeds an apple has, indicates the humber of times a bee visited the apple blossom of that apple?ENJOY!
