A New Day.

"She looketh well to the ways of her housedhold, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Proverbs 31:27-28

"To be descreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:5

Today is a new day and a new blog.  I've been wanting to start a blog for a long time, just haven't had the time to create one.  We didn't go to church today because the children have ringworm.  UGH!!  They are on medication for a month, but are only contagious for about two weeks after the start of medication.  We took in a stray kitten on December 26, 2007 that apparently has ringworms.  So we are staying home for the next 2 weeks, no co-op, no walmart, no going anywhere.

I love reading blogs, don't get to often, but I do love them.  Especially blogs of my Homestead family.  I have been spending my time reading Sandlappersue's blog this morning.  If you haven't read her blog, do so.  She is such an inspirational lady.  Hi Susan!!

Since we didn't go to church services today I'm tempted to get up and clean.  I am going to honor the Lord's day by just keeping things picked up.  After lunch I think I will read from the Little House books.  I didn't think the children would be interested but they are.  Yay!!  I borrowed the whole set from my grandma.  I have been reading this same set since I was 11 or 12, I'm 29 now.  They are well read.

On a more personal note.  I found myself weeping in the shower earlier.  Long story short, I had my tubes tied after the birth of my fourth child 10 months ago.  I was not a Christian at that time, and didn't think that we could support more than four children.  I soon regreted getting my tubes tied and have contemplated getting them untied.  At this time we can't afford it and not sure if we will ever be able to.  It would  certainly take a long time to save up for it.  But now that I have been a Christian since Sept., I have learned to leave my life in God's caring hands.  So this morning I was praying and weeping in the shower asking God to forgive me for turning my back on his gifts and asking him to restore my body so that I may concieve again.  So please pray for me.

Okay, that's a good start I think.  I look forward to the next entry.

I will be praying with you.
My husband and I want more children, so its in the hand of our Lord.
Sure hope the kids start getting better soon. My son got a couple of ringworms several years ago. It took sometime to get him over them. A neighbor had them, and thats how our son got them. The neighbor dropped by for several hours one day and before he left told us about his ringworms he was tackling.

Take care.
Blessings,
Lynn
