Advertising my Blog!
Here's my next blogging assignment:
| Advertising is a powerful use of words.
Make up an ad promoting your blog.
Try to use good adjectives and adverbs(adjectives describe nouns or pronouns and answer which, whose, what kind, and how many; adverbs describe verbs {they add to the verb}, adjectives, and other adverbs and answer how, when, where, to what extent and why) |
Here's what I came up with....
![]() |
| Slide shows, scrapbooks, photo ecards, and more |
... so Read Red!!!
***When you click play, it will take you to the Smilebox site to view my add. There is an arrow to click in the bottom right-hand corner, which is hard to see. If you click it, you can see all 4 pages instead of just the first one. Thanks!***

Sailing with Mr. Columbus...
Okay, I'm doing another blogging assignment. I'm a little nervous about this blog because my Mom just informed me that I'm being graded on these entreys.
So I'm supposed to write an entrey like I was a passenger on one of the ships that went to America, I think I'm going to choose the ship that Columbus sailed on( Santa Maria, right? ). Okay, so here goes...
Today Me and Mr. Columbus were talking about how much longer the trip would be, He said it would be within the next day! Mr. Columbus took me into his own private cabin to show me a map of the ocean and the surrounding land that we were sailing on. He gave me a lesson on how to know about how a person can find out about how many provisions you would need for a trip, it was so interesting.
When Mama called me to supper I was disappointed to leave Mr. Columbus, he was so much fun and so nice! But he told me I had better go to supper, so I went. Another reason why I liked spending so much time with Mr. Columbus was because I could get away from all of the people that were sea sick, and the horrible smell!
When I started out on the journey I learned that it was better not to look at the food, and to swallow your food as fast as you could, because it was awful! Also, you ate the same thing, morning and night! After supper I always went straight onto the deck, where there was fresh air. Because once I got sea sick after I ate my supper and I had stayed below deck. I also just loved the salty air blowing in my face, to hear the calls of seagulls, and to look out on God's miracle of, it seemed, never ending clear blue waves lapping against the ship. But I shall never forget that night, for when I went out and was looking over the ocean, I saw a tiny black dot, so tiny I thought I was seeing things as I always did. But soon after I had seen the little "imaginary dot" I heard the words I thought I would never hear, "land ho!". Could it really be true? Oh but it was! Because a few hours later we were boarding off the ship!
I was so excited, but not just that we had reached land, of course I was excited about that, but I've got to admitt, it was worth the whole trip to see the look on Mr. Columbus's face!
(Transforming... taking of petti coats and skirts, putting back on a t-shirt and pants...)So what did you think? That was so much fun writing that! I really did here the calls of sea gulls as I was writing that!

Homeschool Kids Write
Hey everybody! I'm sorry I didn't blog last Friday (really busy)!
I've decided to join "Homeschool Kids Write", and I'll get asignments(sp?) I have to blog about, this asignment is The pros and cons of Homeschooling... here go's!
Well the things I've always liked about homeschooling is you can get ahead in your school work, you get to stay home, I can go to a cool christian tutorial, and if we're to busy to get around to doing school(guests for example), we can skip and catch up easily!
The cons of homeschooling is I've always kind of felt left out when I see the kids from our street lining up at the bus stop, and I've always wondered what school would be like. Also, I think you fight more with your sibling because you're around them all the time.
But anyway, those are the pros and cons of homeschooling, BTW, PLEASE comment and tell me how to spell asignment!!!!!!

Home alone!
Hey everybody! I just wanted to say, before I get on with the actual blogging stuff, just because I said I'll try to blog every Friday doesn't mean that's the only time I'm going to blog!!!! : )
Well, Dad left yesterday and won't be back until Saturday afternoon, so it's just me, Mom, and Harrison. When Dad has left, of course we miss him alot, but we also have alot of fun! We stay up later, sleep with Mom in her bed, have movie nights, it's just really fun! Although, I still miss Dad in the middle of everything!
One of Harrison's readers is Homer Price, a book about a boy living in the forties or so. Well the last chapter we read was about a doughnut machine that is in a doughnut shop, so we figured, "Hey! Why not go to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts tomorrow for a field trip?", and so now we are going there for breakfast, and while we're waiting for our doughnuts, we'll observe the making of them too!
So that's about it! Oh yea, just in case you haven't seen the blog I posted during the week, I did post a new one that you might not have seen! So see ya for now!!!!!

Pirates of the Caribbean 3
Okay, I'm like the biggest Pirates of the Caribbean fan EVER!!!! So me, my seven year old brother, my parents, some people from Church, and some friends went to go see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 on Memorial Day. Do you want the ABSOLUTE HONEST TRUTH about what I thought about it? Okay... it was pretty bad. It was VERY complex and confusing. All thru the movie I would lean over to my friend and say, "Do we want this to happen, or this to happen?" or "What's going on?!", and she wouldn't have a clue! It was also much darker and more violent than the other two. Like it starts off with, (I promise, it doesn't give anything away!), a series of hangings, which was rather disturbing. Not to mentchen, it was almost 3 hrs. long! Me and my Mom both sorta felt like they were making the movie up as they went along.
I guess I'll give a good word of "It was entertianing." But, it wasn't NEAR as good as the first two.
If you've seen the movie and want to discuss it, give me a PRIVATE message. I don't want to give it away! : )

Welcome Ethan Joshua!
On April 26th we, meaning me, my Mom, little brther, and grandma, left for SC (South Carolina) because my Aunt Debbie was having a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the 27th at 8:00 a.m. she went to the hospital, and then around 9:00a.m. we got to see him, Ethan Joshua. He was a healthy little baby weighing 8.8 pd! On the other hand, Me, Mimi (Grandma), and Mom, were trying to keep the boys under control, because this was NOT the first time she's had a little boy. There was Braden, who is about the same age as my little brother, Harrison. Also there was Benjamin (also known as Benny boy!) who takes after me, even though he is only 2 and is a boy we look a lot alike! He has the same red hair and brown eyes. : ) Me and Benny are especially close, I have no idea why, it just happened! It's especially funny considering there's like a 8-9 year difference between us!
We also went to the beach with my other Aunt and Uncle, it was lot's and lot's of fun!!!
I forgot to mentchen that if you want to see some pics go to my friends list and click on kellieann.
Well... with all that said I'd like to say one last thing.....................
Welcome
Ethan Joshua!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is for people who DO NOT LIKE MATH!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I am not a person for math person
. But I have thought up different ways to make math a little more fun. I thought that I'd list these few things to all you people that aren't huge math fans either!!!
1. When I really just can't get my head into a problem, I normally get that problem wrong. Well, to get my head into the question I've started making up a storie about them like, I was a store manager, and I was figuring prices. Or whatever! It really does help!!!
2. Now, this one might seem a little bit strange but... it helps!!! Well at the begining of the school year me and my mom were shopping for school supplies and we saw a pirates of the carribean book cover, so we bought it and put it on my math book. Well for whatever reason, it makes math a little less dull!!!
3. And this is the best!! Think about how you can use this math in the future! Like, I want to be a Missionary OB Doctor to Africa, I think about how my math will get me through collage, and then get me thru life! I mean think about a world with out numbers! It would be very confusing!
Well thats about all the tips I can give ya'll! Hope they work!

Cooking Dinner

Does anyone like to cook? I sure do! It's a treat when I here Mom call me, "Annaleigh! Come on down, I could use some help with dinner!" Although I know She's pretty much letting me cook dinner, Supervising me, and telling me if I'm doing something right
or wrong
.
I got to cook dinner last week, it was... Dumm Dumm Dumm Dumm! Beaf Bean Burrito Skillet! (BBBS) I especially liked getting to learn how to brown meat! I am a very gourmet cook, (I can thank Dad for that!) and so I liked the gourmet side of the BBBS.
Okay, tip for Moms, I'm not the best person in math but when me and Mom started cooking together, I really started to learn the whole measuring thing. I also just love having this special time with just me and her, while having fun and learning how to treat my future husband to a wonderful dinner!
Well that's about it... I just want to encourage Moms and Daughters to cook dinners together, and have fun!!!!!

5 Great things about Easter!
Does anyone like Easter? I have to admit that I sometimes get a little sick with the whole chicken and rabbit and egg hunt thing, but I think that it's a cute thing for the little one's!
I think that Easter is a very sacred and meaningful day, I also think that everyone should stop and take a moment on Good Friday (Today) and bask in the holiness, and wonderfulness of what the Savior did for us. I believe everyone should respect the greatness and powerfulness that the Lord washed away our sins, for what happend this day 2000 years ago.
I thought I'd list a few things that's great about Easter, besides the chickens and egg hunts and rabbits!
- I think this is the most obvius and wonderful one, that the Savior died and washed away our sins, if we only believe.
- Easter is a great time to go around sharing the gospel and having great fellowship with your friends and family.
- Has anyone seen The Passion? Okay, now I started watching it last Easter and got a little freaked out and had to go to bed, but from what I've heard it makes a great tradition, my parents watch it every Easter or Good Friday.
- It's a great time to read the Easter story!
- Easter also is a great time for YOU to come to know the Lord God, and have better personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior!
I hope you ALL have a great time hunting for eggs and dieing eggs, but remember the real meaning of Easter!
37And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed his last.38Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.39So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, "Truly this Man was the Son of God!" Mark 15:37-39
