This is definately something we as a family are interested in!

We have started attending a new church and we have met some wonderful people. There is one young woman there I just adore, her name is Tonia. Well she loves our girls and loves taking pictures.

Here are a few she took and emailed to me.

I LOVE red curry, my sweetie now makes it for me at home. My friend Sundy loves it too so we had her over to dinner. We love it so much we ended up drinking the extra sauce!!

I woke up to an amazing sunrise on Friday! This picture does not do it justice! The sky was so beautiful and the snow on the mountains was so white! It was amazing!

I discovered these in the back yard today! Woo hoo! I am ready for some sunshine and color!

Here is a new place for homeschooling mothers to get together! I am so excited about this!

For my quiet time with God ( when I am good about taking it), I have been working through this devotional. I really like it and it only takes me 15 minutes or so to go through it - which is about the right amount of time before the kids wake up! The books are very well written and a easy read. I also did this one as well.

If you are not currently doing a devotional or don't really know what to do to have a quiet time with God, I really want to encourage you to try one of these devotionals. And the price on them can't be beat!

Can you see the difference between those two pictures above? Alyssa did a tutorial on white balance, here are some of my attempts at the challenge. I really like the pictures when not using auto white balance on my camera; it really makes the pictures warmer and more true to color.

In preparation for the Salmon Days Festival we went over the salmon lifecycle and colored a picture of salmon.

We had a great time at Salmon days. We ran into 3 families we knew! We didn't actually see the salmon we will do that midweek, it is just too crazy to see them durning the festival. I did get my caesar salad and it was so yummy!

I am learning to become a thrifty shopper. With having a single income household and a growing family, you kinda have to. Today we hit the local children's consignment store and found tons of goodies! Here are some of the things we found:

(1) magnadoodle (a favorite around here)

(1) My first leap pad

A set of play tools

Dishes/fruits/play food (3 bags worth)

1 zip up sweatshirt and leggings set for C3

4 pairs of comfy pants for the boys

1 Devotional book for circle time

All for $60! The magnandoodle and the leap pad retail together for $45 new.

Here are the children playing with the *free* toy kitchen from a neighbor across the street and all the kitchen stuff for it from the consignment store.

I try to go to Goodwill or Value Village atleast once every 1-2 months. I have found some awsome homeschool 'curriculm' there. We have really expanded our book collection from Goodwill. A lot of our games and puzzles come from there as well. My kids and I call it 'treasure hunting'.
