Jun. 4, 2008 - Just Crazy for My Daisies

Daisies are one of my favorite flowers.
What was so nice was that my oldest "Daisy"~ Emily cut them and gave them to me from a friends garden...Thank you Emily ! Aren't they beauties??

My youngest "Daisy"~, Miss Michelle, hard at work watering our tomato plants.
She doesn't miss a day!

I love daisies too! Your pool looks so nice and refreshing; it has been hot, hot, hot here!
I saw an earlier post where you wrote about Michelle's speech delay:
"It was also suggested to me that it may be allergy related She takes Singular for frequent troubles w/ allergies. Anyone know any info they can give me from past experience??"
My son had freqent ear infections from abt 4 months when he started solids to about 1 yr of age. They told me if he had one more, he would have to have tubes. He had a lot of eczema and rashes and allergies and the ped. suggested removing milk. He was breastfed, but did get supplemental yogurt. We removed the milk products (but I did not from my diet - I should have in hindsite maybe) and he did not have another ear infection till he was around 2 1/2 or so when I retried yogurt one winter. After that we went dairy free longer; but he now eats plenty of dairy with no problems. I do cut back on it during high pollen time as it seems to excaberate the allergies then.
When he was 2, it was suggested that I get him speech therapy through early intervention. I let a few people tell me that he would outgrow it and so I didn't pursue it. Then when he really needed therapy (ages 3 to 5) insurance wouldn't cover it. We did private therapy one year and then through the county public school system the other two years.
This year he doesn't qualify for it, though there are some residual processing issues that linger. They aren't too happy to keep on non-public school students in our county, it's difficult to get if homeschooled.
Anyway, that's our speech and ear story in a nutshell!
