Trouble,Trouble,and...more Trouble
Today everything seemed to go wrong. First, School took me forever (which is not normal). I worked on one problem for forever only to find out that I had been doing it wrong. Secondly, we are going to the Lake tonight. I have been wan'ting to go camping and heard that it would be warmer today and thought that insted of last night I would go camping today at the Lake, turns out that it's going to be freezeing tonight. But, I am sure that God had a purpose. Who knows mabye I would have been eaten up by a bear if I went camping tonight ( Bears are returning to SE Kansas). The Bible says in Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." |

Soap Bubbles

On a warm summer day in 1834 a mother and her 2 children were outside making soap. There was Grace a little girl about 5 and Elizabeth the eldest who was 10. As they were making soap Elizabeth got an idea.
"Mother" she said, " May we show little Grace how to make soap bubbles?"
"Alright you may, but mind not to get soap in your eyes".
So they started making bubbles. They made small ones and large ones round ones and ones that looked like they had been ran over by a caravan heading West. Little Grace was amazed by the bubbles and had a lot of fun racing after the bubbles.
"What makes the bubbles fly like the birds or drop like a stone?" asked little Grace.
"Well" said Mother "Its kind of complicated, But let's just say that God was very amazing when He made bubbles".
"Yes let's just say that." said little Grace. Her mother rocked her untill she fell asleep. Then they went inside and Elizabeth told their Papa how much fun they had with bubbles.
(Note: This was an assignment from Primary Language Lessons by Emma Serl. The picture was provided and Camoboy was asked to write a story explaining what was happening in the picture. The painting is by Elizabeth Gardner Bouguereau.) |

The Story of Prince Laddy
(A note from Queen Mommy...Today, Nutmeg put her little brother, Laddy, down for a nap all by herself. She decided to tell him a story to help him relax and go to sleep. This is a story similar to the one she told...as is the case with all good storytellers, she wasn't able to tell the story the same way twice! )
Once upon a time, there was this huge castle on this mountain. In the castle lived a prince named Laddy. And Prince Laddy went to his mommy, the queen's room and he said, "Hello, Mommy." And then he went to his daddy's room (the two rooms aren't set apart, but there is this bathroom and there is the door beside the sink beside the faucet) and said, "Hello, Daddy." Then he went to his sisters' room (Princess Nutmeg & Princess Sunshine) and then they wanted to go outside. So, they ran to the door, but just then, a clap of thunder started to sound. And then they got scared and they ran into Prince Laddy's room and hid under the covers.
And then, Prince Camoboy went in to see what was going on. He saw the covers that were lumpy and he went under the covers and saw Princesses Nutmeg & Sunshine and Prince Laddy. He asked them what was going on. They said, "We heard a lot of lightening and thunder and we ran into Laddy's room." And Prince Camoboy said, "Now I see!"
Then, Queen Mommy & King Daddy ran into the room and said, "Did you get scared of the lightening and thunder?" And they said, "Uh-huh. We got so scared that we ran into here." And then they understood.
And then, another clap of thunder and lightening struck a tree twenty miles away. They were happy that it didn't hit the castle.
They were kind of bored. They wanted to go up to the tower above Laddy's room. And up at the tower, there were lots of bags of clay. Then, they decided to go up there and make something out of the clay. They made this huge castle out of the clay and showed it to their mommy and daddy.
Then, it stopped raining. They went outside and played. They played tag.
THE END. |

Summer
| Summer is coming and that means HOT. What I think is cool is that God made all sesons and all things. The flowers and the breeze and even the days when the temps top 100! God is amazing! |
