Nov. 8, 2009 - Leaves are Falling
Leaves are falling
By; Sammie
Leaves are falling.
Falling down,
Falling down into piles for jumping and laughing in!

Wind is whispering.
Whispering of Winter,
Whispering of Winter's icy grip on our warm shoulder.

The sun is setting.
Setting on Summer,
Setting on Summer's warmth and tender love.

The world is quieting.
Quieting into hibernation,
Quieting into hibernation till Spring.

It is all a cycle.
Cycle of life,
Cycle of life and God's never ending plan.

Trust in God.
God has a plan,
God has a plan for everything, trust he will take care of you as the seasons go on.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6

Oct. 2, 2009 - The Ghost under the white sheet
@
The Ghost Under the White Sheet!
One Halloween night, a group of children were going trick or treating. All of the children were wearing the most amazing costumes! All, except one. Nine year old Bledgie Twinkle’s parents had no money for him to have a proper costume. Bledgie though, was very happy to just wear an old sheet with eye holes cut out of it, as he did every year. He thought he had the scariest costume. He thought that a costume with no face covered the mystery within. The unknowing mystery, if it is a boy underneath, or another strange horror!
Well, on that particular Halloween night, Bledgie and his friends were just about to finish up their trick or treating, when a group of drunk, teen age tricksters decided they would play a prank on these unsuspecting little children in costumes. They approached the children, stating that they knew Halloween magic. If the children wanted to see their Halloween magic, all they had to do was follow them and be their assistants. The smarter of the children turned back, some knowing it was a trick, others too afraid of magic that could be from the devil. One of the few gullible enough children who stayed behind was little Bledgie.
The drunk teens took them down into the forest where an old barn stood. They told the children to go inside the shack. The children went inside. The teen tricksters then slammed the door in their poor little faces. The knowledge that they had been tricked ran through their brain like a rushing river. The tricksters laughter filled the air with a menacing sound. Then a new sound filled the air! Screaming children and animal growls. The teens opened the door to find a rabid wolf eating on the poor children. The teens ran away in terrified fright! Later that night, the tricksters returned to find the mutilated remains of the children. Even though they had left five children in the shed, only four bodies could they find. The child they couldn’t find was Bledgie. He had been carried off by the wolf. The teens confessed to the town what they had done and a search team was set out to find poor Bledgie! He was never found.
If you are out in the forest on Halloween night and you find a shed, don’t go inside! If you do and flash a flashlight at a corner, you will see the ghost of Bledgie hiding under his sheet instead of showing his mangled skeletal figure beneath.

Sep. 26, 2009 - The Day I Was Stolen By Three Witches
For a writing requirement I had to write a story about being turned into something by a witch. It also had to incorporate three wishes! I thought I would share! Also this is a taste of what will be coming in October! I am going to be having a Halloween fest! There will be Halloween music, pictures, stories, poems, and much, much, more Halloween fun! The Day I was Stolen by Three Witches By; Sammie One day I was taking a jog down the street, when all of a sudden, I was unexpectedly caught in a huge butterfly net! After I had sat there for almost five minuets screaming at the top of my lungs, three witches appeared out of nowhere. They all had knotty green moldy hair and skin, with black beady eyes that looked more like they had forcefully pushed marbles into their heads. “Well, well, well,” Said the first, clapping her green hands together, “Dinner will be fresh tonight!” The other two cut the net down, and then the whole world seemed to dissipate before my eyes while another appeared where my world was before. Where a road was, large candy house stood instead. Where houses were, a large field stood. ‘Helga,” said the first, who appeared to be the leader, “you turn her into a cow and take her field to graze.” “We had beef last time!” moaned Helga stomping her feet, “Why not turn her into a pig and give her the left over slops? What do you think Olga? “It would be a good idea,” said Olga looking at me and smacking her black lips, “but I am craving chicken!” “Let’s do pork!” “Let’s do chicken!” They seemed to go on fighting until the leader grabbed the net with me inside it, took me to a field, and turned me into a cow. You would probably will ask me what it is like to be a cow? To tell you frankly I only felt two changes in my mood: One, I couldn’t speak so I rang out a loud moo instead of a scream. Two, I had a weird craving for grass. Then the other two heard my loud moos, noticed us, and ran over to where we were. “Now Loga!” said Helga turning as red as a beet, “We shouldn’t jump to conclusions.” “Yeah!” said Olga also turning red but more an apple shade, “Besides, we have both decided on pork!” Then Olga and Helga Turned me into a pig.( No difference in being a pig except I squealed instead of mooed, and instead of grass I craved everything.) Loga, in a rage, transformed me back into a cow. They went on like this forever, one second I was a cow, the next, I was a pig. When they seemed like they were about to make a final decision, I said goodbye to being a girl and craving normal food. I also prayed that God would save me. Then a kind and beautiful witch who had heard my loud squeals and moos came to my rescue. She introduced herself as Enchanta Witch. Then she kindly turned me back to a girl. She apologized for her sisters’ behavior. Then she grabbed my hand and took me back to my street again. “You can take three wishes from me.” Replied Enchanta. “How does that repay you?” I asked with interest. “It will help me win the contest I am in!” said Enchanta waving her hands magically and vanishing before my unbelieving eyes. I ran home and made my first wish. “I wish our house would sell!” My voice rang inside my head. I loved being able to speak my mind again! “I also wish Uncle Matt would get better!” When I got to our home my mom embraced me and told me that we had an offer on our house and that Grandma had called saying Uncle Matt was completely cured. I told my mother what had happened. We both thanked God for his turn of events. I may have been captured by witches, turned into a cow and a pig several times, but it was totally worth it! I still have one wish left! What should I do with it? Any suggestions? The End (This story is fictional. I have never been captured by a witch, let alone three. I really don’t know what it is like to be a cow or a pig. I also don’t have three wishes. Please pray for us to sell our house and for my Uncle to get better.)
