Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But, small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
This scripture speaks volumes of truth to a believer. It speaks to us in many different areas of life. Of course we understand that Jesus was speaking of salvation, but we find truth from this scripture in other ways. Truth is narrow. When Jesus instructs us to 'enter through the narrow gate' He is speaking of truth. Follow truth. Unfortunately, truth can be offensive and so we see many finding their own truth. We see the destructive affect it has caused and continues to cause. The news is always full of death, murder, rape and all sorts of crime. You can turn of the news and close your eyes and ears to it. But, that does not change the fact that it is still happening. We've seen the headlines since the fall of man.
Today we see it also! Amplified and glorified. Two recent headlines have come to my attention. One was written by Justin Jones a high schooler. He wrote a satire about unintelligent people. In this article he states that a standardized test should be given to analyze all 5th grade students. The students who score at the bottom 25% should be executed; killed because they are 'stupid' according to a test. The reason behind justifying this type of behavior is because he is concerned with the 'reverse Darwinism' taking effect. He has every right to say what he would like, but the problem is that this thinking is so very demeaning to life. I do realize that satires are meant to outrage and ridicule people, but looking around and talking to people today we see that this is the way that many people think. Our devaluing of human life continues to gain movement~ with abortion, never talking about what the prime cause of AIDS in America is, euthanizing our elderly and handicapped and now getting rid of the 'stupid'.
One leading factor in the way people view life and all the other 'who, what, when, where, why questions' is due to the teaching of evolution. Public schools have done a terrible job of taking the atheist-humanist side which has shown the following things... life has come to be by random chance (there was no meaning to it) and we are nothing more than a product of goo that eventually evolved to man (we are nothing more than an evolved animal). This type of 'theory' continues to contradict its self and yet instead of being taught that there is another view about life and how we got here, many have come to realize that we need to start taking matters into our own hands. We all know that Darwinism teaches that random 'nothingness' brought about better and better evolved animals (nonlife to life). But that brings about a problem because we continue to see society not become better, but worse; or at best staying the same. This can not happen in Darwin land. So, you have the Justin Jones' of the world coming up with solutions. If we are going to be consistent with what Darwin teaches then this becomes the next 'logical' solution. I can understand where Justin is coming from, given the information he has been taught and told is fact.
This leads me to the next headline of choice, the 2007 school shooting in Finland by Pekka Eric Auvinen. On further investigation of this boy you will find what his worldviews were. He wrote on a blog in which he explains his reasons for this horrific act... I am prepared to fight and die for my cause... I, as a natural selector, will eliminate all who I see unfit, disgraces of human race and failures of natural selection. No, the truth is that I am just an animal, a human, an individual, a dissident...
Evolutionists and those that teach it have no right to be outraged by these actions, because then you are crossing over to the 'creationists' worldview. You see Creationists know that there is a right and a wrong, because we were told by God what right and wrong is. With evolution there is no God – no Creator, no right or wrong and humans are simply animals and can act as such. Kids learning this worldview and embracing it believe that they (the individual) are all that they have and there is no God that they will have to answer to. Eric Harris, who was one of the Columbine killers was wearing a 'natural selection' t-shirt on the day that he and his friend had their killing spree. Remember mass murderer, Jeffrey Dahmer? He said this in an interview with Stone Phillips of Dateline NBC, "If a person doesn't think there is a God to be accountable to, then- then what's the point of trying to modify your behavior to keep it within acceptable ranges? That's how I thought anyway. I always believed the theory of evolution as truth, that we all just came from the slime. When we, when we died, you know, that was it, there is nothing...". Then do you remember hearing about a man by the name of Armin Meiwes? He sent out an ad over the internet, with the intent to kill and eat a man. This unbelievable request seems absurd, except for the fact that it came to fruition. The big question would be..."Is he guilty if it was consensual?" This two hour killing was video taped and it was evident that it was consensual. We are told that whatever two people want to do behind closed doors is their choice. Meiwes stated in an email to one of the many applicants who was rejected..."We could solve the problem of overpopulation and famine at a [single] stroke." The courts did find him guilty, but really how can he be? If we are here by random chance, who is to say that his actions are wrong, maybe he is just more 'evolved' in his thinking than us? In fact Charles Darwin wrote that he thought one day people would begin exterminating other people, in his book The Descent of Man. We have seen this thinking at grand scales, with Hitler and at small scales, with the shooting in Finland and various other schools around the world.
This is the line of reasoning that Randy Thornhill a biology professor at University of New Mexico and Colorado anthropologist, Craig T. Palmer both feel is a result of Darwinism. They have developed a new theory of rape and that it is a complex sexual crime with strong roots in human evolution. In an interview Palmer said, "those who accept evolution but don't see it as applying to the brain and behavior and particularly the behavior of rape. We have to convince them that behavior, including sexual, evolved, just like our morphology and anatomy. The brain evolved along with the rest of the body."
Once evolution becomes consistent with itself, people are struck dumb and realize they have no leg to stand on. This is because they don't realize that Creationists are taking the same facts as the Evolutionists, but simply evaluating the facts differently. Because both views are not taught in public schools we see that kids don't realize there is a another way of understanding and lining up the facts that are found. They have no idea that there is a way that brings truth and light to many issues and logically makes sense to every area of life. Listen to these sad comments that people had after reading material from Palmer and Thornhill. Jennifer Beeman who is a director of the Campus Violence Protection Program at the University of California-Davis, said she instinctively read the article as 'dangerous'. Once she read it through for the third time, she said, 'Some of it rang true and intuitively is sounds right.' Dee Sisenberg who is a director for crisis intervention said, "These men [Palmer and Thornhill] are giving rapists an excuse to rape. Rapists will have an easy out because Darwinian Theory says 'I can't get away from my roots.'" Spokeswoman, Julie Bernstein with the Feminist Majority Foundation called the paper "interesting but scary" and that it "almost validates the crime and blames the victim."
Of course it does, when we are dealing with survival of the fittest, who is stronger physically... men are. Also, where was it that we came from...animals; and we know that some animals rape other animals. So of course in evolutionary thinking we have the answer to rape, it might not be the answer many were hoping for, but that is the comfort that evolution brings and that is what being consistent with evolution brings!! We can't deny that these are the type of headlines that we see every single day!! Things are getting worse, not better.
Creation teaches there is a God, He made all that we see and don't see, He loves us, He has a purpose for us and each one of us is uniquely made. He tells us of history that no other human got to see (except Adam on the 6th day)... the days and order of Creation. This does fit with the facts that we know. As scientists learn more and more at a rapid rate, it has brought about a huge following to Creation. The evidence, the facts, shows that God can be trusted and what He says is true.
I was reading an interview of David Sugiyama who is a Senior Forensic Scientist in the Toxicology Trace Evidence Analysis sections at the Tulsa Police Department Forensic Laboratory. He was talking about how evolution has no way to explain DNA. We know that we have 23 pairs of chromosomes, yet insects have 200 pairs. If we take away one we end up with a disease and if there is a duplicate we have a disease. The numbers can not be altered! He mentioned how some bacteria have hundreds of pairs of chromosomes. The logical question is how did bacteria get so many? The next logical question is how were all these chromosomes taken away to get to us? If the strong survive, then only one chromosome lost would be diseased. This does not add up. Mr. Sugiyama thought so too and concluded the interview by saying, "You never hear a lot of DNA level explanation for evolution because there's no way to explain it."
Well, creationists do have an explanation which can be found in Genesis 1. God made each animal according to their own kind, he made humans different from animals and plants different also. They didn't evolve, God simply spoke and they became what He wanted the way He wanted them. He made them unique, beautiful and different because He is all powerful, creative and full of beauty. When man fell away from God, in Genesis 3, that was when sin entered this place that God originally called 'very good'. It is our fault, not God's and the headlines we read today are a product of that fall and man's ever rebellion against the truth. God not only started out with everything 'very good' but also loved us enough that He sent his one and only son that whoever would believe in Him would have everlasting life. We try and try to explain away God and leave Him out of the picture but what we find is a religious belief that is contradicting its self. The more we explain away God, the more horrific the headlines will become.
Evolutionists know that their presupposition to the facts is faith based, just as a Christian does. In fact, G. Richard Bozarth in "The Meaning of Evolution" article in American Atheist September 1979 issue said this, "Christianity has fought, still fights and will always fight science to the desperate end over evolution, because evolution destroys utterly and finally the very reason Jesus' earthly life was supposedly made necessary. Destroy Adam and Eve and the original sin, and in the rubble you will find the sorry remains of the son of god. Take away the meaning of his death. If Jesus was not the redeemer that died for our sins and this is what evolution means, then Christianity is nothing."
Well, it goes the same way for evolutionists. If their is a God, everyone will one day stand before Him and have to account for every sin they have committed. If their sins have not been substituted by the blood shed by Jesus who was sinless, then they will find themselves separated from God for all eternity. God has given all man the free will to choose; He will never force anyone to love Him. This may sound very narrow to those who don't believe in God, but Jesus did say we were to enter through the 'narrow gate and the narrow road'.
