i understand where you are coming from leena, our youth leaders and perents are not so concerned with stuff like witchcraft and spells...
they are more concerned with what is more obviouse like sex, drugs, alcahol, and cursing...
but dont you think that maby we should look past what meets the eye, and see that 'possibly' movies, books, tv shows, ect. are the origionaters of what is curupting our nation?
i am not saying you are wrong with what you commented, i just encourage you to think more on the topic. not just bruch it away.
i know many people are coming from where you are coming from... infact many of my friends feel the same way. you see, i am not trying to convince the whole world that harry potter is one of many opening act to our youths hearts.....
but that i might just get you thinking..praying...and open your minds to the possibility that such movies like these are used my satin to enter our nation.
for like the 2nd commenter sayed... Satins greates lie is that he is not real, and that God is not real.
so what stops him from lying to us that the movies are not bad, that it has no part in his evil works?
i admitt, i have not read the books, and i cannot argue when you get actaul points form the movies and books, but like the 2nd poster also mentioned is that, heck.. maby the actual spells in the movie arent real, but doesnt it scare you that that IS actually going on in our world, and even if those perticular spells are not reall, you have just opened yourself up to the IDEA of spells.
for spells ARE going on as a real thing.
and please dont get me wrong... i am not trying to say that we should turn all our attenchion over to spells... but this just seems like the biggest argument of the movies.
there is a devidor beetween 'spiderman' and movies like 'harry potter'

you look at these and say, well, if you are a strong enouph cristian you wont let it take you over.
but it happens with out your knowledge.
have you ever heard of the boy who played this 'inocent game'
it was a game cube game...
it only casted fake spells...(fine/not bad/cant do any harm)
it only killed fake people..(fine/cant do any harm)
it only swore a little....(cant do any harm)
and he thought he could handle it.
it wasnt bad.
his perents didnt see a problem with it.
but months later, he started turning demonic.
he started shanting spells
he started murduring animals
he started cursing his perents
you think it cant do any harm...but it does.
it does.
