Jul. 28, 2007 - Back to Blogging

After participating all last week in the Dog Days of summer give away, my regular ol' blog is getting back to normal.

This week has been busy, very muggy, and did I mention busy and muggy??  We do not have AC, but we do have fans in pretty much every room in the house and they were all on this past week. We also went swimming a couple of times, because after all it is summer and there is nothing like swimming in the summer. :0]  When we go swimming it is not just a jump in the van and lets go thing. Its more like a run around the house and make sure we have everything we could possibly need in case we get stranded there for 3 years type of thing. It's not like that EVERY time we go swimming, but if we are going to spend any serious time at the water it is like that. After all who doesn't need:

*sun lotion

* hats

* buckets and shovels

* towels

* beach chair

* enough food for a few days

* bug spray

* a good book or two

* a magazine, in case the books don't pan out

* sandals

* sun glasses

* brush

* extra clothes

* make up -- you never know who will see at the lake, LOL

* water or other drinks

* wipes--ya never know what you will need them for

* lighter-- after all we really might get stuck there and have to light a fire. ;0)

Do we really bring all that stuff with us when we go?? If we are going to be gone all day the answer is ....yes!! :0)  If we are going to be gone a couple of hours, the answer is.....no!! :0)

Well, thats it for here. What do you bring when you go to the lake, beach, pool, ect...???

You just reminded me why I don't go to the beach more often! lol I have 3 boys and we always need so much stuff I usually just tell them we'll stay home and go in the pool. Which is a shame, because we are really close to the Ocean, and there is nothing like playing in the sand. (and cleaning up the sand, and looking for clean restrooms, and carrying everything....)
