Life In His Grace

It's Friday!!

I love Fridays.  Why?

Because the next day is a day of rest.   I know that the weekends usually hold alot in store for most people, they like to do family outings, or yard work, or shopping, whatever, i call all that rest because it can be done at your own leisure - unless you're an A type personality, which i am not   .

As we progress over here, my lovely daughter has started working at the Library as an assistant volunteer!  That's really neat and is very encouraging for her, and me too .

With the Fall season comes alot of 'holiday' time, I hope to enjoy it thoroughly this year with my family.

Some things i look forward to:

Thanksgiving dinner, making the dinner (maybe the girls will help)

Making cookies together

reaching out to other people -  loving them with Jesus' heart

maybe some get-togethers - perhaps a couple Christmas party gatherings

New Years Eve,  we always play games until midnight with guests at our home, maybe watch a movie.

I think I'll look around Homeschoolblogger to see what others like

It's almost time!

I'm curious as to how this school year will turn out for my young lady.  My heart goes out to her, she has such a struggle with the 'traditional' way of schooling, and because of that it seems like i have limited us unknowingly.

We are going to do it all differently this year. I just pray, all i can do is pray, i want her to succeed so badly, and i want her to grow creatively, not live inside the mundane box the world provides for us. I want her spirit to grow and her to find her great purpose in life.  I pray for her to find it this year.

School

This is one reason i like homeschooling;  i like to learn, and i like learning with my daughter, it's fun!!  (even though sometimes very challenging)

The one reason i don't like to homeschool is because i have to work an 8hr day Monday thru Friday, and my teenager has to work alone most of the day.

Lately i have found it to be encouraging for her (and i) to be able to take her to the public library on my lunch hr and drop her off picking her up when i get off work -  she can do reference work, have casual reading time, and work online for a small frame of time.  She also gets to interact with other people.

I'm very proud of my teenager, she presses on regardless of the situation.
