Who'd have thought that the hardest part....

Posted in Just Talkin'

Who'd have thought that the hardest part about deciding to homeschool would be to NOT teach?  Here's my dilemma, my son just got out of public school (it's summer... time for a break) - but I'm so excited about teaching him at home that I want to start RIGHT NOW!  Nothing major, just reading books together... but he's having none of it!

I finally had to cut him some slack last night and explain that I am just so excited about everything that we're going to do together that I forget - he needs some time.  So I told him that when he's ready to read together, when he's ready to work together - he can let me know.

In other news.. I've shown my house 4 times in the past 5 days!  We received a call from a guy yesterday to tell us that he is selling his house on Monday and that he's very interested in ours - he would like to come back out and see it..  woohooo!!!

We got our demo DVD for Math-U-See the other day... what a great way to teach Math!  I'm very impressed!

I have begun applying to several freelance writing positions... it's a dream of mine - so while I train Hitman to go for his dreams, I thought perhaps I'd take my own advice.
