Who'd have thought that the hardest part about deciding to homeschool would be to NOT teach? Here's my dilemma, my son just got out of public school (it's summer... time for a break) - but I'm so excited about teaching him at home that I want to start RIGHT NOW! Nothing major, just reading books together... but he's having none of it! I finally had to cut him some slack last night and explain that I am just so excited about everything that we're going to do together that I forget - he needs some time. So I told him that when he's ready to read together, when he's ready to work together - he can let me know. In other news.. I've shown my house 4 times in the past 5 days! We received a call from a guy yesterday to tell us that he is selling his house on Monday and that he's very interested in ours - he would like to come back out and see it.. woohooo!!! We got our demo DVD for Math-U-See the other day... what a great way to teach Math! I'm very impressed! I have begun applying to several freelance writing positions... it's a dream of mine - so while I train Hitman to go for his dreams, I thought perhaps I'd take my own advice.
