About Me

Welcome to our blog. Let me start by making a brief introduction of our wild bunch. I'm Cristy. I'm 30 years old. I'm married to William, next year will be 10 years. He's the pastor of our church, Liberty Fellowship. We have five children. Isaac is our oldest. He'll be 11 in July. He's the advanced reader in the family. He loves woodworking and building things. Next in line is Zane. He's 9 going on 16 and he's my little lady's man. He's not into reading as much as his big brother is but I've noticed lately he's getting into it more. Then there is Zoe. She's my only brown eyed child and she's on the road to being 7 years old. She's the tempermental one of the family and sometimes hard to figure out. She has her good days and her bad days but with a little guidance, she is working really hard on her attitude. We hadn't planned on having anymore children. We were fine with three children and then here comes Zanna. She's trouble with a capital T. I'm telling you, I don't believe I've had a more mischievious child than my 5 year old. She's given me more scares than all five of my children put together. She's into everything and if they say it's childproof, they haven't let my daughter try opening it. She poured Benzocaine into my tea, numbing my throat and the lady at Poison Control ordered me to call 911 IMMEDIATELY. No kidding. This lady had me thinking I was going to drop dead. We have to keep EVERYTHING under lock and key! But on the other hand, she is a most delightful child. She's happy go lucky most of the time and can make the most solemn person laugh. Last, but not least is Jon. He's 8 months old and is named after my youngest brother, Jonathan. Jon was born during the roughest storm in my life. In November of 2007 my dad found the skeletal remains of Jonathan beneath the rubble of a burned mobile home. The police and fire dept. was there doing a search since we'd reported him missing and my dad and brother Dewayne were there searching as well. The owner of the mobile home had said that there had been no one at the mobile home at the time and would not allow the fire to be put out. That was 5 days before Thanksgiving. January 24, I tested positive for pregnancy. In September, Jon was born. He put a smile back on all our faces and our hearts have slowly begun to mend once more. God is so good to us and although Jon will never replace Jonathan, God knew exactly what we all needed.
