Adorable Hat!
Posted in
Knitting
I just had to post pictures of the cutest hat to date! It's just a simple off white hat with eyelets to run a ribbon through- it has a blue ribbon, but could easily be changed to pink. I made for friends that are expecting their first baby! It turned out a bit bigger tham planned, it fits my 19 months old a bit snugly- so it's probably a 12 month size. My favorite part about this hat is the picot edging- I've never done it before and it's time consuming (I dislike immensely picking up stitches on a cast on edge- any edge for that matter!!) and you have to cast on 2 stitches for every 2 you cast off so it does take a while, but it's so sweet looking!!
And here's one you can see the picot edge better
And here's one with my little princess wearing it

Oh my goodness~ that is so sweet! I wish I was such a talented knitter. I'm still learning, lol. (What a cutie your princess is!) I just wanted to stop by and say "welcome" to the blogging community. Your blog looks like so much fun, I hope you post often. Congratulations on your 5 year old reading! We're still working on it. I've had a copy of Alphaphonics on order from the library since the middle of last month, but it hasn't come in yet. I'm looking forward to using it. (We're using Abeka, but it's just not working.) Feel free to stop by my blog and visit sometime and have a great week! :o)
