Froggy Hat
Posted in
Knitting
I made a tiny newborn froggy hat yesterday from a pattern here: (ok for some reason NONE of my links seem to work on here so if you want the pattern go to lionbrand.com and search the free knitting patterns for the froggy hat.)
It called for suede yarn which I didn't have and I had already bought some Bernat Softee Chunky in a bright green specifically for a frog hat so I used that. I need to do over the eyes since the boys said it looks like ears and frogs don't have ears! And eyes are white with a black spot-NOT green with a white spot. So I'll redo them a bit smaller I think since I made the pattern smaller, the big eyes look huge! I love the tongue though! Now I just have to find a newborn to give it to- it was supposed to be for my college roommates little boy- but no way will it fit him. So I'll make another one- this tiny one only took a few hours. J wants me to make him one too, so I'll have to get more frog green yarn.
