And so it begins!

Tonight was try outs for little league baseball. Mark tried out for the minors and Michael for the Majors. Michael's coach called just a few minutes ago and he was drafted to the team that I was hoping he would make. His coach was the assistant coach on last year's team and we really liked him. Plus Michael is on a team with friends!!! This is an important fact because Matthew is playing, too, on coach-pitch. They don't have to try out. So I have three boys playing on three different leagues, so friends headed the same direction of at least one of my boys is great. Needless to say we are going to be doing baseball around here! Hopefully, I am still smiling by June! I just got another phone call from Mark's coach. Not sure who this guy is but I am sure that we will meet him. Practice starts Tuesday. Now I just need to hear from Matthew's coach. I think he is feeling a little left out since he did not try out. We got in the car tonight and he said "Why didn't I do anything?" The joys of being younger. Hopefully the coach pitch teams won't start much later than the other teams. And so, I am sure that you will be hearing more about baseball soon! |
