Growing in wisdom and stature
Tonight Michael got to attend his first youth group event as a 7th grader. I am not sure why I had such a hard time with this but I did. My firstborn is in youth group. The reality that he is growing up is hitting me hard. The fact that I am old enough to have a kid in youth group may be the bigger issue. Man, time sure does fly.
Michael on the other hand had a fabulous time. The youth group met down at Confluence Park for hamburgers, games, boating, tubing, swimming and the like. He was so funny on the way home. He talked non-stop the whole way home. It was great to hear him carry on about the evening.
Michael continues to grow up and I really do like the traits that God is working into him. He is a great kid. So I guess that makes it all good.

Isn't it almost weird to have a 7th grader!?! I know it really is for me, too. What's even more weird is looking UP to him because he's so much taller than me and to not recognize his voice at times because it's getting so deep. Ah, puberty!
Our zucchini didn't do well this year... don't know why. My tomatoes are super though.
Be blessed!

Thanks for the note. We have had a lot of challenges (learning opportunities) this past year. We have been back in Idaho for almost a full year now. During 10 of those months we lived with our daughter and son-in-law in the small 3 bdrm home. In June we welcomed our 10 child (my 9th) and then moved on July 15th into our own home. I am so blessed and thankful for the work the Lord continues to do in our lives. Our new home that we are renting sits on 40 acres and we are renting 2. I feel like this is a place of rest and restoring our family. Our children have some space once again and we are learning to be a family again on our own if that makes sense. God has been so faithful. How do you like WA? We are from there and both of us have family there. I don't miss the rain on the Western side of the state. We also spent a period of time living with my husbands parents. Have a wonderful weekend. Randi

Hi, Shari! I know how you feel! My oldest amazes me at how many milestones he is just blowing through! It is amazing to see how God is turning our little boys into men! Ok, well... amazing and a little scary! :) Glad to see y'all are doing well!
