We have been reading Charlotte's Web as part of our Core 1 from Sonlight and we have really been enjoying it.  Friday we read the part where Mrs. Zuckerman is giving Wilbur a buttermilk bath.  Well we started talking about what buttermilk was and how it was made.  The girls thought that was just the coolest thing ever and begged me to let them make some.  Well since I don't keep heavy whipping cream on hand I said that we would try to get some over the weekend.  Well I remember to get the cream and today after our other school work was done we got to make buttermilk and butter.  It was the coolest thing I have seen yet this year.  So here are the results of making our buttermilk...
