Sep. 16, 2008 - Autumn is just around the corner
Family Life
by Robert FrostThis was one of my favorite poems as a child. Of course, every time I think about it I think of the movie "The Outsiders". It just reminds me the world is in constant change and no matter how hard we try to keep things just as they are today, it just can't happen. And while we may grieve that which is no longer, it doesn't mean there isn't something better waiting around the corner.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
