Dedicated to the Biblical Principle of
Deuteronomy 6:5-8

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates."

Sep. 16, 2008 - Autumn is just around the corner
Family Life

This was one of my favorite poems as a child.  Of course, every time I think about it I think of the movie "The Outsiders". It just reminds me the world is in constant change and no matter how hard we try to keep things just as they are today, it just can't happen.  And while we may grieve that which is no longer, it doesn't mean there isn't something better waiting around the corner.

Nothing Gold Can Stay

by Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
