Writing the Joy of Every Glorious Day...

Jul. 1, 2009 - Braces off and a couple Blogging Awards!

Wow, how much more original could I get with my titles?!?!

Exciting news everyone! I forgot to tell you in my past couple posts, but a couple weeks ago, I had my braces taken off! Yay! I had them on for over three years. It took longer than expected because we moved near the end of my treatment and then my new orthodontist wanted to practically start all over again. She took off all my old braces and re-posititioned new ones on my teeth. Ouch. That was not a very fun day. Anway, they're finally off now and I am very happy about that...but....right after the orthodontist had taken them off, she was looking at my new x-rays and decided that I needed to have my wisdom teeth pulled. Ahhhh!!!! So we scheduled an appointment to have that done on July 22nd. Please pray for me, because I am pretty nervous. Even though it is a minor surgery, I've never had any surgery before so I don't really know what to expect. Please keep me in your prayers!

Now for the lovely awards from Katy. She gave me Best Blogging Buddy Award...

Katy also awarded everyone on her friends list the Rocking Blogger Award...

Hello! :-)

Your probably right about our "Marybeth war". hehe!

I really love your blog! Thanks for commenting!
I've already had braces, but have to get them again next summer. They are no fun so I'm sure you're glad to have them off!

It was my first time to Disney World so it was definitely exciting! June wasn't really the month to go though because it was so hot. Hopefully it'll be cooler in August when you go!

Anyway, sure you can add me to your friends list! I'm always happy for new friends(or blogger buddies as I call them!)

Have a blessed day!

Good evening Christine Daae,

Braces off, that's good! Although you'll probably have to have the permanent retainers for the rest of your life. I'll probably have to have mine pulled eventually, I hope not. If they're a problem then yes (there's a lot of old wives tales surrounding them). Hope all is well with the family,

God bless,

MCH.

I was surprised when I heard that my brother, who is sixteen, needed his out. :-) I even thought 16 was too young. :-/ But....I have a friend, who is thirteen, and they can see her wisdom teeth on the x-rays...coming in. :-/ I hope she doesn't need to have 'em pulled anytime soon! She pretty much just got her braces off too! :-) Yeah...you definitely don't want them to mess up your teeth....JUST after you get the braces off after 3 years! that would be terrible! :/

Why do you have to move a lot? Or do you HAVE to? I can't remember if you just said you DID move a lot, or you HAVE to move a lot! lol

Thats okay...I look forward to seeing them next post!

That is great that you have been taking walks every evening too! I just love it! Especially if you like walk somewhere that you can see the sunset really well! I love that! Yes, It IS a great time to think!! ....and pray! :-)

God bless,
Marybeth

Jul. 2, 2009 - I like your blog!!!

Hi, Christina! I like your blog a lot! I'm glad you got your braces off! I've never had them, but I'm sure they aren't much fun! Also, if any dentist EVER threatens to cut out my wisdom teeth, I'm hitting the road! I cannot stand pain! :) Well, if you can, check out my blog and leave a comment, purdy please!

Random question, but do you ever watch the Duggars(18 kids and Counting)?

I'm wondering because they had a show about wisdom teeth and I was wondering if you watched it. It's not the most encouraging episode if you are having your wisdom teeth pulled, but everything turned out alright for the two girls who had it done.

I'm rambling. I'm so sorry!

After watching that episode I too declared I'd never get my wisdom teeth out. I said, "I could just bear the pain of them IN my mouth."

Probably won't work out that way! I do not like pain or the doctors at all so I really would have a hard time with it. Unfortunatly, Mr. Duggar had to say that kids with small mouths usually had to get them out. That would be me. :-(

Are you a Duggar fan? I watch every episode with great fasination. I love them!

Anyway, sure I will pray for you! When is the date for you to get them out?

Oh, I'll be praying for you for the surgery to go well!
For the Fourth of July, my family and I are going to our grandparent's house to have dinner, watch fireworks, and have a good time!
Well, I'm going to Nashville because there is a music camp there. I'll be gone for two and a half weeks there! I'll miss HSB, but I'm not going until Thursday, and I'll still be on the computer until then!
Blessings,
Taylor

Yes, I've always lived in Texas.
I love the state, but it's really not that beautiful.
We barely have any flowers, we have dust, the only grass is in peoples yards, and lots more.
I absolutly love TX,but it's not the most beautiful state.
I guess people like it though because it's different than any other state!

That would be really neat if you were to move here!
It's an amazing place to live!

:-)
Well it's pretty in it's own way!
I probably do have an accent. I really don't know though because everyone talks this way up here.
My cousin from Minnesota thinks I talk funny. I use ya'll all the time; Is that a Texan thing?
Actually I took all of those pictures. Glad you liked them! I enjoy taking them!

I play the piano, I've been doing it for 6 years. I am also doing singing and drama in this camp too. I am very excited, but I'll miss you and everyone else!
