Writing the Joy of Every Glorious Day...

Jul. 5, 2009 - P.H.C and N.C

Well I tried to be a little more creative with this title but I don't think it really worked! =) I know you guys understand though!

Today my sister, Arya, left for a two week debate camp at Patrick Henry College in Virginia. She has been looking forward to it for months. But I really miss her already! She will spend the next couple weeks researching this year's NCFCA resolution, writing an affirmative case, and at the end they will hold a mini-tournament. Patrick Henry is the college where she would like to go, so it's a great chance for her to see the campus. She is staying in one of the dorm rooms, so that is a great opportunity (sp?) for her too.

Tommorow I am flying off to NC to spend a week with my Grandma. I am really looking forward to it. We have some fun thing planned. We might go see a movie, we'll eat at my favorite restaraunt, we'll play mini golf, etc. But best of all she said that we may be able to drive to Camp Lejeune which is just a couple hours away. We used to live there so it would be a great chance to catch up with some of my friends! I really hope it works out. Oh, and by the way, I could use your prayers as this will be my first time flying alone. I have only flown once before and my family was with me then, so it will be an interesting experience for me! Hopefully I won't get lost in the airport!!!

        In Christ,

 Christine

I haven't stopped by in ages (or updated my own blog)! How are you? I need to get back to blogging...so busy though, with work and getting ready for school.
Hope your sister has a great time at debate camp! I love their summer camps...I went to SI and it was a blast! It is a great campus to stay on. If she wants to go there for school it gives an excellent feel for school life. I think I told you I'm going there--I leave in less than a month! Eeek. Come visit me there and I'll give you, your sister and your family a tour!

Jul. 5, 2009 - Hey!

Oh I want to go to Patrick Henry College too. :-)
Has your familiy watched Come What May? Patrick Henry College made it,and it is one of my favorites.

That's so fun that you are visiting your grandma! I'm sure you will have a blast!

I flew alone on an airplane for the first time at Thanksgiving, and I was very nervous. There was a really nice Christian man there and he told my mom he'd help me find my gate and stuff. It really was a breeze; you'll do fine! :-)

Hi Christine!!

How neat for your sister! I do hope she has a FABULOUS time. I love the name Arya! What a beautiful name! =)
Your trip sounds exciting...and a bit scary to be flying ALONE!!?! I would be a little nervous....but it would be fun at the same time, too! I will definitly keep you and your sister in my prayers!=) What is the name of your favorite restaurant? What kind of food does it serve? Is it international? *grins at herself for asking all of these questions..*
Yes, she did have them for eight years!!! A loooong time, I know! =) I think it was because she had REALLY bad buck teeth, and would still have them today if not for those long years! But now she has beautiful teeth, and you can't even tell she had braces (of course, you never can, but they really made a difference for her)!! CONGRATULATIONS on getting YOURS off!! Three years is STILL a loong time. I know some people who had them on for two years...that is average, I guess.

Anyways, enough about braces!! Aww, thank you. You are a good friend, too! You and Mary Beth ALWAYS reply to my comments promptly! That is nice....though I'm sorry if I don't return the favor. =(

Well, I'd better go! Have fun tommorow!

Love,
Ariel~*~*

P.S. (You really need a blog link!!! If you don't know how, can I make one for you??? I would LOVE to advertise your blog on mine!!)

Is there a slight chance that you will be visiting Harvest? That would be cool. I hope you have a good time with your grandma while you are there. It's about time someone who's been AWOL for a year and two months comes back to visit! :) God bless,

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to your comment!

Have you been to Patrick Henry? What's it like?

I am really interested in photography so I might get a bachlor(spelling) of arts degree. I really haven't decided yet. I have plenty of years to think about it though!

I hope I get better soon also! I think I'm in the healing process right now!
Anyway thanks for the comment!

Jul. 9, 2009 - Hi again!

Hey! Thanks for posting those sweet comments! It sounds like you and your sister are very close! That's great. There's plenty of room for improvement in that area for me! Well, I hope you have fun with your grandmother! I live right next to one of mine! I'll pray for your flight! I've never flown, alone or otherwise! I might eventually, though! Well, TTYL!
Your friend, Lindsey

P.S. The reason you aren't on my friends list is because I don't add folks who I don't know personally. I hope I didn't offend you!

A Bible college would be such a neat experience. That's also put into consideration for the future for me!

So you like music? What instrument do you play? I play piano and have for 8 years.

Did your sister used to have a homeschoolblogger? The more I think about it I remember her having a blog. I don't know maybe I'm just making this up in my little brain! lol!
