Writing the Joy of Every Glorious Day...

Jul. 12, 2009 - Summer Vacation in NC!

As most of you read from my last post, I spent the past week at my Grandma's house in NC. I had a lovely time visting her. I flew down there on Monday and stayed until yesterday, when I flew home. Both flights went smoothly, and I thank everyone for their prayers for my flights! It was pretty exciting to be flying alone for the first time! On Monday when I had just found a seat next to a little girl and a lady, I found out that the little girl sitting next to me was flying alone and that she was only nine years old, so I couldn't be nervous after that! :)

Grandma and I had a nice time eating out for lunch on Monday when I got there. We went to California Pizza Kitchen. Later that evening we went to a baseball game with two of my great aunts. I felt pretty spoiled as an "only child" for a short time! Our team won, so it was a good game :-)

On Tuesday we did some shopping. I found a dress at Target but I didn't fit righ when we got home so we took it back on Wedensday and exchanged it for a sweater. We also picked out a wedding shower gift for a young lady from my grandma's church. I enjoyed shopping!

On Wednesday we also went out for lunch at my favorite restauraunt. The Crystal Palace in Raleigh, which is a very big Chinese buffet. Mmm, that was yummy! One of my great aunts joined us for that as well, and it was nice spending time with her. That evening Grandma left me with a great aunt and uncle on her street while she went to her Wednensday evening church. I had a a nice time talking to them and we also went to Dairy Queen! I had a lot of fun that day!

Thursday, Grandma took me to her church where I played a little "concert" for some of her friends on the piano there. I played my recital piece "Los Gitanos", Country Dance, and and arrangement of El Shaddai and Oh the Deep Deep Love of Jesus. It was a lot of fun. Later that evening she took me to her choir practice.

Friday, Grandma took me to Jacksonville, NC where I used to live and we met with one of my old friends and her mom for lunch at Olive Garden. It was great catching up and seeing the town again! That evening I packed up for my flight on Saturday.

Saturday (yesterday) morning, my flight took off at 11:55. It was exactly an hour and went very smoothly, thank the Lord. I spent the rest of the day catching up with my family and resting! Somehow that short flight managed to make me pretty tired, so I slept in a little this morning before getting up and getting ready for chapel.

So, that was my summer vacation in NC. Oh, and I picked a lot of blueberries while I was there because one of my relatives living on my Grandma's country road has three huge blueberry bushes! That was fun althought I'll probably never eat a blueberry again!!! I would love to hear what everyone else is doing this summer. Leave a comment and let me know!

  In Christ,

  Christine

Oh that sounds so exciting! It sounds like you had a blast and had jam-packed days!
I'm glad your flights went well also.

That's so neat that you play the piano too! I'm not taking lessons in the summer because my days are too full, but I will start back up in August(I think). However, I am working on three pieces to surprise my teacher when I get back to lessons. The songs are: Fur Elise, Sonata Op.27 Moonlight, and Only Hope(that's a Mandy Moore song that I'm in love with and am learning for fun). But my main song that I'm still working on and will pick up again in the Fall is Sonata K.454. Sorry to bore you with all these song titles, but I love piano.
What are you learning?

Anyway glad you had a good time this past week!

Jul. 14, 2009 - Thanks!

Thanks for the comment! :D
I am so happy I got it set up... ^_^ I love the template.
I simply had to make a header and post it to the normal template I use and then change the colours, so it wasn't that hard.
I'm really excited for it... I want more and more people to know about it! :) I'm hopefully going to make a button for it soon.

Thanks for the comment! I absolultly love long comments!
Kailey is just moving houses, not citys. :-)
I don't know if I've heard those songs or not-you'd have to give me the exact numbers and stuff...which I'm sure is hard to do! I listen to piano music a lot though so I'm sure I've heard some of them.
I'm sorry your so tired! Hopefully you'll feel refreshed today!
I'm happy you like my photos. :-) I wish I could post pictures of me and my family on the computer, but unfortunatly that is un-safe.

Sounds like you had fun!!

Of course I read your whole comment. Do you think I would skip any of it? LOL. Anyway, Pride and Prejudice... I'm sort of losing interest in it, as all they seem to be interested in is getting a good match to get married to. But maybe I'll keep reading and see how it goes.

Which books have you read by Al Lacy? I've read the Journeys of the Stranger series, Angel of Mercy series, and the Orphan Train trilogy. I'd like to read the mail-order bride series, too.

Thanks for your comment!

Hey there!! How are you doing? I'm doing great! Aw, don't worry about it! I've been terrible at visiting blogs too...quite busy lately!
Yes, I did make my template. I like to do that every once in a while. :)
What have you been up to lately?
Hey, are you on Facebook? I've recently joined and am on there quite frequently. It's a lot of fun!

Talk to you later!!

I'm so very sorry it took me so long (again!) to reply to your comment!

I'm not allowed on YouTube, but I'll see if I can find them on some other song place. hehe.

I love looking at picture! You should definitely post some more often if you are allowed!

Hi Christine!

Wow, your trip looks like fun....hmm, well, right now we are TERRIBLY busy with our county's local fair, and we've been entering stuff in that, as well as just going around. Tomorrow we are going to go for the whole day...go on rides, etc. =) That will be fun! And then today is my cousin's wedding....at 3:00! And yesterday we went to a play that some friends of ours were in...."Oliver," by Charles Dickens. It was pretty good! Other than that, we've been busy helping at church, with TWO VBS's, watering and weeding our gardens, and swimming in the pool! =) That feels really good right now...it's HOT!

Oh, of COURSE! I'm so glad you like them....you're welcome! Yes, if you want to have a vote, than just copy-and-paste the pictures of the buttons into a new entry on your blog, and then which ever one is decided, I'll send you the code and directions! For now you only need the pictures...

Any questions? Just PM me or leave a comment!

have a great summer!!

God bless,
Ariel
