Well, guys, sorry I haven't posted in such a while. Things have been pretty hectic, as usual :-) Everything is back in full swing. Piano lessons, school, speech, debate, church, a full load! Debate alone could take up all my time! We're having our first couple practice debate rounds this Tuesday. Please pray that they go well and we all learn a lot. Thankfully, my mom is the only one who has been sick so far this year. She had a weird virus for about a week where she was really tired and achy all the time, but we all took good care of her and she's 100% better now! And thank goodness, nobody caught it from her. School is going pretty well. I took a bunch of tests last week, the hardest one being an algebra 2 exam. Blech! I do not like math :P My other subjects are going great. Even Chemistry! Ha ha. I am really enjoying my history course this year. It is the book Streams of Civilization 2. World history stuff. But I am also looking forward to studying American history next year. My theology course is helping a lot with one of the speech categories, apologetics. In apologetics there are one-hundred questions about defending your faith such as "Explain the meaning and significance of divine inspiration" and you have to try to write 6-minute speeches for as many of them as possible. It is a really great speech event but it takes a lot of time and work. My Dad is teaching it this year, so that is really helpful :-) I ask him all kinds of questions! Hope everyone is doing well! ~Christine

You should totally do Extemp, it's one of the best speeches and helps stretch you a lot!
I know Katy! We're in the same club! I've been playing violin for 6 years, since I was twelve. And I've played in the orchestra for three and a half years.

Glad speech is agreeing with you. I'm in a speech co-op now, and I don't really like it, but I am living through it. :P

Oh! Arya! I've seen her on HSD. Doesn't she have a blog on HSB? I'm Turumbar on HSD as well as on HSB.
No, I might be amazing if I practiced more; but unfortunately I don't practice enough.

I played soccer for 8 years as well, but I' not playing this year due to debate and school. I'm hoping to play in college next year.

I'll probably major in history and politics, though I'm not sure what I want to do yet.

Ahh, yes. Speech and debate can, and DOES take up almost all my time. But it most certainly isn't wasted time. :D
I competed the other day in our first round robin of the year. I only did my OO...it's on music. :)
I hope you did/do have fun in your tournament! :)
Oh yeah!! I moved to wordpress. I am still commenting/checking blogs over here, just I have a wordpress blog instead of an HSB one. :) Here is the link:
