• Aug. 31, 2007 - Surgery...Check.
Okay, sometimes I feel like my life is just a huge, long, never-ending check list. Kids dressed...Check. Mom dressed... check. Dad dressed...check. Teeth brushed...check. Animals fed...check. Breakfast... ooops, no check, (make mental note to stop at dunkin donuts since we are already running 10 minutes late) It all seems so comical but when we have something to do, especially in the wee hours of the morning (9:00 am, hee hee), that's exactly how it goes. Anyway, my husbands oral surgery went well and he is resting comfortably (for now).
I am reading a wonderful book called "the Mission of Motherhood". It really helps to refocus and get back on track. It's strange but since I am surrounded by boys, trucks, dinosaurs, legos etc... I sort of forget what kind of person God wants ME to be, and I am NOT a boy. So it's nice to be reminded that its okay to be feminine and meek and humble and sweet and girly, like I'm supposed to be.
I am also listening to a series on tape that I bought at MassHope convention by Doug Philips called "Rebuilding a Culture of Virtuous Boyhood" It's awesome.
Oh yes, before I forget, updates on my Aunt and our house (that we want to buy) My aunt is doing well and undergoing lots of tests. We will have results of all tests next Friday. And we haven't heard back from the loan officer that we have been working with so as far as I'm concerned, no news is good news. (But it's driving me crazy none the less) Real estate agent assures me that all is going as planned...
God's Blessings to all! |
