It may have been more special,

Back before the net.

It might have had some meaning,

Not so easy to forget.

But now everyone's blogging, about every this and that.

Not any room for original,

in this land of techno-fat.

A book used to have some meaning, when they were hard to come by.

A letter used to be special, when waiting two weeks for fast reply.

A paper could have some new news, and we would all have time to ponder,

but now change the channel quick, before our mind should wander

Toward some intellect,

toward some truth or meaning,

Access is cheap, and words are fast forgetten in this land of  knowledge weaning.
