Earthquake!!!

We didn't feel any aftershocks today. But we have been downstairs since 5AM now and I believe you can only feel these quakes on the upper floors. Where in fact I was at 4:40 a.m.

Upstairs.... ....nice and warm and cozy........ ..in my bed.......asleep. ....when I remember dreaming and saying to myself "the bed is shaking. I know this is an earthquake."

Then the bed stopped shaking and I heard this tapping noise for what seemed like a long time maybe another 40 seconds or so. When it stopped, I was awake and got up to go to the bathroom. When I passed by my dresser I bumped it and it made the same tapping noise that I heard while I was in bed. That's when I turned on our trusty radio station WGN in Chicago and they were already talking to people on their lit-up phone lines about the earthquake. LOL! I remember this same thing happening many times in my life out here. The first being when I was about 16 years old.

yikes! :P

of course, everyone slept through it except the two light sleepers of the family; that being myself and oldest dd.

My mom and mil felt the quake in their upstairs bedrooms, but everyone on the main floors didn't. I was actually bummed to have missed it. My mom even had a picture frame fall down on her dresser.
