Mom and I enjoy working in the kitchen together actually, so does dad and the whole family!
Here is another homeschool bogger family that loves good healthy food, even one of my favorites
brussel sprouts!
Yes, I LOVE cabbage and brussel sprouts and would munch them all day if I could!
One of my dreams is to help people especially my family, with their nutrition.
I spend time every week learning new things in health and nutrition.
Each week I watch a few documentaries on You Tube about having a healthy life.
I like juicing and making
smoothies and am always looking for interesting ideas for combinations.
A few weeks ago we learned about soy and feel we'd like to avoid it as much as possible.
I also love outdoor outings of picking red clovers for mom or spotting fruit trees in the neighborhood, and of course
gardening in my backyard.
This past week we found a whole field of clover but it was a late walk and we only gathered a handful to make tea for mom. Oops, when we went back just a few days later the field had been mowed. We were all really disappointed!
We are working on turning over our garden beds and continue to add compost.
Soon we'll be adding dry leaves as we rake!
We hope to
garden again next spring but are considering with all our other ventures to wait and simply use another season to gear up again for a great garden in the future. We have some trouble spots that just haven't been worked out. We think building raised beds will help with our over soggy areas of the yard that produce the molds and ruin our work.
We need to bring in more soil and compost to get better results.
It's a lot of work, work I like but is sometimes too much for mom to look after.
Tell me about your adventures in healthy living in your comments.
Any great links?

We had a great time walking over to a neighborhood Buckeye tree to look for buckeyes.
We found a few buckeyes that hadn't been eaten by our
North American Grey Squirrels

We have been studying our local squirrels for the last few years.
They are perfect creature chums!
We'd read that buckeyes are too bitter for squirrels but I think they do eat them ere is a
blogger's story about his buckeye tree and neighborhood squirrel. he also had some great shots of a
black squirrel We have them too though not as many as farther north like in Michigan.
We hope to get some pictures of cardinals. We've tried many times but they are so fast and feisty.
The blue jays rarely let us get a good look of them either!
They usually show up more in the fall and winter so maybe, just maybe this will be the year we get some pictures of them!
Here are some
beautiful pictures of Blue-jays and Cardinals we found on the net.

Hi It's me Luke. Mom and me are talking over our winter-summer activities. Mom is typing for me.
We decided to start blogging again.
Some of the highlights of the last several months have been;
helping mom take care of little brother Jonathan and learning how to get a routine
that includes a new brother. We have lots of regular chores

Each day we have a great time reading, playing educational games
and doing some seatwork for handwriting, phonics, and math.
We had so many hours of documentaries and interesting videos that we've taken half the summer
to slow down on You Tube, National Geographic Videos and the like.

This summer has been very different. We didn't garden or spend as much time outdoors as usual.
Timmy and me did enjoyed reading with mom about ancient Egypt. We look forward to studying it more each year. We also are learning more about the Hebrews.
One object lesson we had was to finish sorting and hauling brick and clay chips for a landscaping job.
It was such hard work especially the portions we did in the mid summer heat. Well we are still finishing this up this fall and let me tell you it is much easier to work with a cool breeze blowing! How did the Hebrew Israelites do it?!
Well, little brother is crying now. So we'll add more tomorrow.
