Apr. 15, 2006 - A trip that is becoming more frequent each day it seems....
We made yet another trip to Lowe's today for more stuff. We bought the cutest turtle that hooks up to our pond fountain and spews (SP?) water back into the pond....it is the cutest thing. Drew's mom (my mother-in-law) ordered a frog from Terry's Village and had it shipped here as a surprise for us today. He is fishing and it is the cutest thing...it sits beside our pond like he is fishing in our water. She knows we have been wanting more little critters for our flower beds...I just need a few more...ha ha. What more than to have an excuse to go back to Lowe's! It is a good thing the kids like buying new things for the yard too because they are too young not to tag along...I think they really enjoy helping out though.
OH and we planted some Iris from my mother-in-law's flower beds last year and they are coming along rather nicely...I hadn't noticed any buds on them until she came over and showed me what to look for. They are sneakly little things. I counted 4 blooms coming up today! I couldn't have been more excited. I hope to get out there and take some pictures next week to post on here.

Apr. 14, 2006 - Well Today we studied.....
Plants :-) We as a family took a trip to the local nursery to pick out some flowers to come home and plant...Noah and Hannah both enjoyed helping us dig up the grass and measure to see how far apart to plant things...My husband is wanting to try to tackle growing "Lamb's Ear". I am not very excited about it as it is considered a "weed" in other areas. It seems the more I read about it the more I am thinking NO on planting it...but he is excited so we shall see how it is. Does anyone have any great advice for me on dealing with this plant? We also picked up some Dianthus and it is the prettiest red color...I will try to get some pictures to post soon...We are really enjoying this nice weather in Tennessee. I have had a small sunburn for 2 days in a row now...woo hoo! I need some color that is for sure.

Apr. 14, 2006 - My first Entry
Hello!
This is my first attempt at "blogging". We'll see if I can keep up with it...I usually love to start new things...but when it comes down to it..Time is not my friend and I usually stop most things. It is not a preference of mine, but it happens nonetheless.
Noah did a terrific job in school today. I am wondering if he should be in 1st grade already. I will go ahead and keep him going at this rate (Kindergarten) I guess, but maybe gather some 1st grade material online and begin working with him on some of that as well as his normal work. He just excels in everything anymore I am almost wondering if there is a challenge at all. He could really do better with writing...but that is another blog all together.
