Fun Friday! This week has gone by fast.

Dh started a new job on Monday, the paperwork, the testing, the training all went well. By Thursday he was driving on his own. God was good to give him this job.

ok, so back to school . The PP we learned about Mercy, Maple syrup, Animal tracks and scat, Arguing and Foolishness in the Bible, galluses, bear stories, and Laura comparing herself with Mary was not wise (2 Cor 10:12) .In the Laura Ingalls Wilder songbook we learned to sing Pop Goes the Weasel and Buffalo Gals-that was pretty funny.

In Kindergarten and 1st grade "classes" we did the letters L and D handwriting and numbers 1,2,3 and addition. IN 4th and 5th grade we are working on multiplication 1's, 2's, 3's and also square roots. In Spanish the most memorable moment was Andy in his funny spanish accent saying "HOLA GLORIA" and everybody laughing....

THen we had a sad day on Thursday.A friend of ours dog, a German Shepherd, named Drakar, was layed to rest.He was really old and had a brain tumor. He was a special dog to their family and special to us as well. I was very intimidated by Drakar when we first met, but I gradually got more comfortable with him and learned to get along well with him. My oldest dd says Drakar just loved her, but I really think he loved me best LOL. We said hello to new puppies last week, and now we say goodbye to a good canine friend this week.

Thursday also was Super Fall bedroom challenge, we deep cleaned all 4 bedrooms. It was hard work but oh so needed and so nice now! We used a homemade carpet deodorizer (recipe online) of Baking soda, cinnamon and ground cloves. MMM, mmm the house is clean and smells nice.

Friday, we had our field trip day, to see the new Coeur d'alene Public Library. It is nice, so much roomier than the old one and lots of cozy places to sit, couches and chairs and rooms with fireplaces...I could definitely do with out the ART exhibit (The stolen rights of the parents exhibit, oops I mean , the UN rights of the child, what a bunch of hooey....)ok I will get off my soap box now..
