Next week is the last Awana until after Christmas break. My group, Varsity (a.k.a. Journey 24/7. Which is the new name for it. Pathetic isn't it?), is going to have a White Elephant party. It was so much fun last year and I can't wait to go this year. Last year, I got a module car. Last night we had a hard time agreeing on what we would bring to eat. The suggestions were: "Cheesy Bean Dip", "Cornbread", and of course a lot of desserts :). Well, they won. Because nobody else could think of anything. I'm going to bring a dessert. I think I'll bring brownies.
I've been trying not to worry about getting all of my friends presents this year. Which is really stressful when you have a large family. I still got a few presents for my closest friends. I'm going to try to give them to them discreetly, so that the people that I haven't been able get presents for don't think that I don't like them. Last year I was really getting stressed. But I somehow managed to get everyone something. I don't want to go through that again this year.
We're going to go see Christmas lights with friends from church. It's become an annual event for us ever since we moved here. We meet at one of the family's homes, eat dinner (pizza), and then go out to look at some of the main attractions. At least 4 families come. I always get stuck in my car. Why? Because I let people boss me around. The same friend always wants it to just be me, him, and my sister. I would like a change. I mean, why do I let him boss me around? Because that's one of my biggest faults. I have a hard time saying "No!". Maybe this year I'll stick up for myself. It's not that I don't like being around him, he's one of my closest friends. But there certain other friends that I would like to ride with too.
We decided not to get a Christmas tree this year for several reasons. Mainly Bailey. The picture of her either carrying ornaments, branches, pine needles, or tipping the tree over, didn't sound like much fun. So instead, we set up my little Christmas tree (Which I have also mentioned in my last post). I wrapped some more presents tonight. I love wrapping presents!!! It's so much fun!

I am completely done with my Christmas shopping! (for my family)
I've been listening to the same Christmas Adventures in Odyssey in my room over and over again. Why? Because I keep forgetting to change the tape, and I don't feel like getting a different one. I think I've completely memorized it. The one that I keep listening to is called "Peace on Earth". Last time I tried to get a different one to listen to, there was an avalanche (Not a real one. All of my tapes and c-ds flew out at me.).

I have a babysitting job today. I'm going to baby-sit the daughter of one of my mom's friends. She's so much fun to play with. I think she's seven years old.
Bailey is so funny! She is constantly bringing us her new baseball that she found outside. Whether we're eating dinner, sitting on the couch, or doing anything we'll hear a loud *THUMP* on the floor where she drops it. Sometimes She sleeps with it. I love her sooooooo much!
I have piano lessons today. I hope that I can finish my Christmas book before Christmas. I've finished most of them, I think I only have about five left.

It was so good! I loved almost everything about it. Like my mom said on her site, I don't know if I would take little kids to see it. There were a few parts that I think would be scary. I can't wait until it comes out on video/dvd! I thought they did a pretty good job at following the book. I can't wait to get it. Maybe I'll read the whole series again. After I finish the "Left Behind" books.
I'm constantly reading "Left Behind". I'm already on the sixth book "Assassins". They're so interesting, and they're kind of books that leave you hanging. My friend, who's also reading the books, can't believe how fast I'm going. I just started reading them around Thanksgiving. I told her it's because I choose to read instead of having more computer time or watching T.V.
Well, we don't have anything planned for today. We're going to try to finish up on some of the Christmas presents that we're making. I'll probably read my book for awhile. I'm getting so exited about the presents that I got for my family.

I woke up this morning to blasting music (the volume on the computer was all the way up on accident). My mom really likes my Kutless "Strong Tower" c-d. She just heard it for the first time, in the car, on Monday. So I woke up to hear one of the songs playing. She was listening to a clip of it on the internet. So I woke up and brought her the whole c-d to listen to, so she wouldn't have listen to the same 20 seconds over and over again. I really love Kutless c-d's! I think I have all of them. The one that I like the most is "Sea of Faces". But I like them all, and listen to them all over and over again. I'm also starting to play some of they're songs on the guitar.

to see "The Chronicles of Narnia" on Friday!!
I still need to finish my skit for AWANA. It's almost done, and I've been having fun writing it. Uh oh.......I think have to do games tonight. For some odd reason, they asked me to be in charge of games. I don't know why! I'm very shy and not the type of person who can yell ver loudly in front of people. As I have mentioned in my other posts, I'm not athletic. But, the kids are only kindergarten-2nd grade......I need to make myself do it. They can't do anything to me :).
My puppy Bailey has her own blogsite now.

The parade was great!! I had so much fun, and so did everyone else. The only problem was when the generator kept shutting down. It was very disappointing for us, and for the people watching. But they kept cheering us on. I'm so glad that I wore a few layers of clothes, a lot of the people on the float were freezing. After the parade we went back to the church and had cookies and refreshments.
I am sooooooo happy!! The skit turned out wonderful. We called one of the younger boys, that goes to our church, and he said that he would do it. Everyone loved it, and all of the kids in the skit had there lines all memorized. It was so much fun. I also played "Angels We Have Heard on High" on the piano. I was so nervous that I couldn't keep my hands from shaking. But, I didn't mess up. And I was so relieved when it was over. I also cut my thumb when I was trying to fold a card table up. Ouch! It really hurts. If I had my choice I would've left that last part out.
When we got home I re-arranged my room. I think I finally figured out the best spots for all my furniture. It's kind of a joke in my family. Once when I was about five years old, my mom was surprised to come in my room and find that I had moved some of the furniture around. Ever since I got my own room, about four years ago, I've switched my furniture around more than ten time. I finally have everything in the perfect spot! Since I have so many electronic stuff to plug in, (computer, c-d player, alarm clock, keyboard, lights, ect.) I used to have a shortage of outlets and extension cords. But, now everything has a spot. I've been planning it out in my head for a while, and I felt like doing it today. I'm just the kind of person who needs to have a different view every once in a while. I have so much fun doing it. Well, I'm going to get ready for bed and read for awhile. I'm on the third "Left Behind" book right now. |

The Left Behind series! I'm almost done with the second book and just started reading them right before thanksgiving. It's just the kind of book that keeps you hanging and you can't wait till you get to the last chapter. My older sister Jenni lent me the first few. I can't stop reading!!! A friend of mine told me that you can take quizzes on the Left Behind site. They have one for each book. Well, that's all for now.

Every morning I set my alarm clock for 7:05am. The alarm almost always gives me a heart attack, and lately I've been getting so used to it that I turn it off when I'm half asleep. When that happens I usually fall back to sleep. This has drastically changed for me ever since we got Bailey (our puppy). One morning, a few months ago, my mom was taking her outside early in the morning. All of a sudden I heard something moving in my bedroom. I woke up to a little puppy jumping up and down by my bed. Ever since then, my mom sends her in right after my alarm goes off. It's the best way to wake up in the morning.
When we first got her I would wake up in the middle of the night and think that she was in my room. Things always look different in the dark. I would mistake a stuffed animal, a sock, a sweater, or my shoes for her. This was happening to my sister too. She told me that she went down on the floor and started to pet her sock. This went away after awhile, but you can see why I was so shocked when she actually was in my room that first time. I actually thought my large frog stuffed animal was her.

I'm really starting to get stressed out!! The parade is on Saturday and the Christmas thing, at our church, is on Sunday. The boy that we were counting on to play Joseph isn't going to be there. I'm just hoping that my friend called the other guy that said that he might be able to do it. We already got part of the elf costume, and all we need is a white beard for Santa Claus. Christmas Family Feud.
Wow......it's so close to Christmas. Only one (or two) Christmas presents left, to get. My sister helped me decorate my room last night. Call me crazy, but I LOVE wrapping presents. It's the best part!! I've noticed the last 3 years or so that I've been enjoying giving more than getting. I used to not be able to sleep on Christmas Eve because of the presents that I was going to get. Now, I can't sleep because I'm so excited and anxious for my family to open the ones I got them. We already have most of the Christmas decorations up. My dad took all of the stuff down on Sunday.

Here are our puppets that we are using in the parade. My sister has the one on the right (Toby), and I have the one on the left (Amanda). I am really excited!! We only have a week left. We also found our outfits while we were looking for the puppet outfits. We are going to meet with the group, early in the morning, before the parade. |

Yesterday, we stayed home from church. We were all very tired. I figured out some of my favorite songs on the guitar. For the first time, a few weeks ago, I learned how to read tabs. It's really easy and fun. Here is one of the sites that I use: Christian Guitar Resources.
I don't have music lessons today, but my sister does. After her violin lessons we are going to go to a thrift shop to look for cowboy/cowgirl clothing for our puppets. I also need to get my costume for our Christmas skit. I am playing Mrs. Claus, and my sister already has her Rudolph costume. We only have about two weeks to get it together, but thankfully none of the lines are that long. I've already memorized my lines. "Hello" and "Stockings hung up on the chimney with care".

I actually still have to get two more small presents for two of my friends. But that will be easy. We're almost finished with the presents that we are making too. I'm so excited! We set up a small Christmas tree, on the card table, in the living room. And we put all of the presents, that we have wrapped, around it.

We already got our tickets and we are so excited. It was just a year ago when I said to my sister Jenni "I wish that someone would make a new Narnia movie." and she told me that she had heard that they were going to make one. I was so happy when I heard it, and it's so hard to believe that a year has passed since then. And we're going to see it this week! Time flies when you're having fun.
