HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY JOSIAH!!!

My dearest and sweetest son, you are such a blessing to me. I love you and thank our LORD everyday for your birth. You truly are growing into such an amazing young man. I look forward to the coming years to see what the LORD will do in your life.

Well, here it is. his 8th birthday. Boy does it happen way to fast! I honestly can not believe he is 8 yrs old. Josiah has given his heart and life to the LORD and seeks to serve him with his life. He will be getting baptized this month too. He wants to see God work in his life. He is such a special young man. I know the LORD has a will and plan for his life and I look forward to being able to take part in it.

Posted in Day to Day

I feel so terrible! I have so many friends that blog daily even twice a day! I just can't get with the program here! Bad me! LOL

Well school is in full swing. All three children are reading now. Josiah is still having a hard time but I know he will get it down soon! The girls love reading the American Girl books. Yes, they are only 6 and read well enough for them! They don't have many trouble with the words. Joanna enjoys reading through the bible and copying down verses. She thinks it is fun! Julia enjoys sitting down and doing her own math problems, for fun. LOL I truly have amazing girls. They LOVE learning. Josiah does too but he would rather be outside like any boy! He really is into building lately. I have thought about asking his Grandpa if he might be willing to take time with him once a month or twice a month and build something with him. He needs to learn how to use tools and Daddy can't really teach him right now. He is doing what the LORD needs him to do. Besides I think Siah and Grandpa time would be a special thing for him and for Grandpa!

The little guys are doing great. Gabriel is up and walking. I just can't believe it. It goes way too fast for me. Uriah will be 3 years old in Feb. NO WAY!!! He is starting to potty train. I don't believe in pushing it so we are taking it on him time table. Today he kept taking off the diaper every time he wet so we will see. PRAYING!!!!!

Right now the little guys and myself have a nasty cold but tis just a cold. This too shall pass. Uriah's issues seem to be summed up in just a dairy issue. We really think that what happened was that since he had the c-diff for so long, a year, it just ruined his system. The first problem to happen is that the villi get damaged. Well the villi are the little fingers in your small intestines that take care of picking up nutrients and stuff. Can't remember how to explain it totally. Anyway on the very tip of those villi is what absorbs or handles the dairy enzymes and protiens. Well if those have suffered damage of any kind the first thing to go is dairy! So we are praying that his will heal in time and eventually he will be fine on dairy, but this does not always happen. He seems to do ok when no dairy at all is in him. So I am just extra extra careful!!!

Next thing to deal with is my health. I can not remember if I had posted or not. I know it has been a very long time. I was pregnant, due in Jan. I lost the baby. We named her Faith. It was a hard time but a time of growth in my faith. The LORD surely does know what we need. I must trust in him. I am praying for a nother baby girl though. Through losing Faith we discovered that I have Lupus to some degree. There is also some GI issues going on. I have an appt this week with my new doctor. I look forward to finding out what is wrong with me and getting Mommy all better to be able to raise these sweet blessing for the LORD. I am truly blessed. I do look forward to having more children should the LORD allow it to happen.

Well I am cold now, and I am tired. I have finally stopped sneezing for now so I am going to sneak into the room (Gabe is sleeping in there) and get some sleep! I will really try hard to keep up with my blog. I should be able to sit down nightly and update at least a little. Pray for me to be better at this. LOL

Good Night!

Well it seems that both little guys are well, meaning they aren't sick from the virus anymore. I know you have no clue what I am talking about since I haven't blogged in for ever! Both little ones caught a virus last week that made them really sick and miserable! Glad that is over!

Well updates.

I guess the biggest update is that well............................ I am pregnant again. God is good and he is in control of my lie and our families lives. He really does chose what he wants for us. We are very happy and praying the LORD will give us a girl! Julia and Joanna are really wanting a sister to be with. I am due at the end of Jan 2010. We should find out in Oct. the sex of the baby.

Josiah is doing great! He is HUGE!! Bigger than ever. LOL I can't say too much has changed with him. He wears reading glasses now and looks very handsome in them. Other than that the only news with him are all those missing teeth. LOL

Julia and Joanna also haven't really changed or done anything dramatic of late. Both girls are losing their teeth also. They love reading, especially Joanna. She is the reader of the three. Julia still is just a cute little thing with her head in the clouds. It is neat to see them taking on their own likes and dislikes and not just copying each other.

Uriah is still having medical issues. Although we think we may have found some answers.  He has an appt this week with an allergist to see about pin pointing exactly what he can and can't eat. He has been dealing with the throwing up again recently. It really is awful the poor little guy. So Prayers for him would be a HUGE blessing to us.

Gabr is starting to cruise the furnniture now. I do in some ways lok forward to a walking little guy, but at the same time I have a eeling trouble will be happending more often!! Between chaing him and Uriah...wow!!

God sure is good to us!! I am falling asleep typing this so I will go and write more later!

Update

Posted in Day to Day

Well we have more info on everyone! LOL

Josiah did need glasses for school work, reading, and computer time. He loves them and I will get a pic as soon as I am able to.

Julia will be going in for her special test at the end of the month. This will help us to know if anything is going on with her kidney.

Uriah...well the GI and I had a good talk. We both agree that he is just sensitive to foods. He has an over sensitive tummy!  Really EVERYTHING has been checked on him. So basically I need to keep a food, poop, throw up, and etc diary on him for a while and just see if we notice anything at all. She did say that for a 2 year old to be complaining of head pain is unusual and she wants him to have an MRI. So we will see where that goes!

Now our little baby! He had some blood work done and it came back that he is having a problem with his Thyroid. We don't kn ow yet if it is over active or under active. We will find out next week. She was very concerned though. He lost another 1.5 lbs. Oh he has DBL pnemonia. Poor baby! So his appetite decreased dramatically. He is still sick but eating more. She wants me to make sure he gets 1000 calories a day. He needs to eat as much as he can and drink as much as he can. We want to see if that makes any difference over the next week. Because there is no way to tell how  much milk he is actually getting from me. She wants me to keep nursing him also, but make sure he gets 8 oz of Pedia Sure a day.  So we will see what happens with that. We got back next week for a sweat test and to find out the answers to his blood work he had done today. Prayerfully we will also get in to see the Endocrinologist. That would be really great!! She said this is not a small thing. He needs this to be taken care of asap! Praise the LORD she is working hard for us. She has an in with the Endo since she works in the same place with them!

So that is what is going on right now. God is good!!!

Our Family

Well, I usually send out a huge mass email to all our family and friends, but I thought that this would be easier and prayerfully will get me to write my blog more!

God is good! Life is hard, but God is good! God is always good!! I figured I will just go on down the line to give you an update of life at our house! I will start with the children's health, homeschool, myself and anything else that might need to be thrown on!

Josiah is doing good. I believe he needs glasses though. He has an eye appointment on Saturday morning. He gets headaches a lot now. He often gets frustrated during school. I wonder if it has to do with his eyes. I asked him to read something in my laptop one day and he said he couldn't, it was too blurry for him.  Other than that is he doing really well. He is such a smart guy! He is also still a very large kid.! LOL He is 7 years old and 85 lbs. He wears a 5 1/2 shoe! I LOVE having a big guy like him. He can help in soooo many ways. He loves it too!

Julia...well where do I start. She is having an issue with her kidneys that will most likely end in surgery for her to correct it. In three weeks she will be going into the hospital for a special test. That will let them know what is going on and if it is the issue they think it is. Prayer for her would be great!!!  Other than that issue she is also doing great. She is such a smart girl and oh so very sweet. She loves math!! She really enjoys math quizes to do in her head. She doesn't do well on paper but orally she is amazing!! She is also a really great reader and catches on to things a bit faster than the Siah. Julia also enjoys throwing a ball and baseball. I think that is really odd, but hey it is her! LOL

Joanna seems to be great health wise. Prayerfull the LORD will allow it to stay that way! Joanna is our smart little cookie! She is her Daddy's daughter all the way! She LOVES to read. She spends all her free time either reading, colroing, writting, or drawing. She LOVES being challenges. Now she does great on paper work, but not as good orally. She likes to see it to work it out. Neat how they are different.

Uriah is still Uriah. The doctor thought maybe he was having abdominal migraines, feel free to look it up. LOL So they put him on medicine and it just didn't work. So Jason and I feel that I need to do some research. We feel that this is all food related in some way or another. It all seems to be around when he eats. He has no allergies but the GI doc said she knows he has sensitivities or even intollerances. None of those show on blood work. It will be trial and error on our part. I know the things he always throws up! So those are out. We will go from here. He is smart  and anything!! He knows all his letters and can say them when shown flash cards, he loves hearing the sounds of the letters and then he can repeat them. He can count to 10, when he feels like it. He is so tempermental!! He only has to hear something one time and can say it. Also the same way with music when I hum something. He will repeat it exactly as I did it. So that will be neat to see how that come about in his life!!

Now on to my little guy! Gabriel is 10 months old and the size of a 5 to 6 month old. No big deal right? Well if he was still growing at least a little each month then no, it really wouldnt be a big deal. He has actually lost weight since he was 6 months and has not gained it back. He is tiny! My doctor doesn't think that he is producing any growth hormones, sooooooo it is off to many many appointments with him now. He needs to see a GI to make sure it isn't something worng that is making him not able to absorb what he needs from his foods and my milk. He had blood work done yesterday. Then we will work closely with an Endocrynologist. (sorry about my bad spelling!!) If he isn't producing the hormones then he will need to have daily injections. I have no idea for how long or anything like that. Pray would be appreciated there! I look forward to his little body walking around. That will be so cute!!!

Well, here I am finally after all the kids and I am tired! So I am going to end here and hopefully that will be good for now. As you can see our family is going through a rough time with all these health issues, but we know God is in control!!

WOW!!! Sorry ALL!!

Posted in Day to Day

It has been such a very long time since I have been able to write here and keep you all up to date! I really want to do better, but I have to say that life has really been crazy for us here. Where do I begin??

Well we finally got a possible diagnosis on Uriah. They believe he is having abdominal migraines. Strange as it may sound that is what it is called. Kids his age don't normally get migraine headaches. So instead they show all the other strange symptoms. Honesly after we looked this up I was shocked to see how many of the symptoms he has of it. So we are trying him on a course of a simple medicine to see if it keeps away his next flare up. He is due to get sick again soon. In fact I think he is actually starting now. He started his medicne on Monday. So we will see what happens.

We now have another health issue in our home. Julia, our little sweety is having some seriouis kidney issues. She has always had problems with bedwetting and accidents. We thought laziness was an issue for a while. Then we found out that Celiac Disease folks who are eating gluten can also have bladder issues. So we figured that was the issue with her younger years, before a gluten free diet. Well for the past year she has been having one UTI after another. Personally I feel like we just never got the thing to go away. This last time was really bad and she started having extreme pain in her upper back right where the left kidney is located.  We so ok, enough is enough! I took her to the ER. She has a UTI, kidney infection, enlarged kidney, and Hydronephrosis. Here is a link http://www.childrenshospital.org/az/Site1117/mainpageS1117P0.html

So needless to say we are now starting the specialist route with her.

Ok, now Gabriel is crying! I was trying to update you all! I will finish when I have more time......
