ALmost 8 years.....

How our family began...............

My Dearest and Sweetest Friend
The Love of my Life
My Soul mate
Jason, the man whom I gave my heart,
my life, my trust, and my whole being to.

I look at these pictures and I can't believe it has really been only 8 years.
We know each other so well. I feel as though I have known you my whole life.
As a little girl I prayed for my husband to be. I thought of him often.
I wondered who he was, how he would be, how he would act in different
situations. There were some special things that I prayed for, that I am still
in awe of how great our God is that he actually gave them to me in you.
The love we share is God given. I know in my heart you are the only man
God had chosen for me.

My prayer and hope is that our children will grow up and see the love, care,
and tenderness we have for one another and they will desire it as well. I pray
that our daughters will feel as loved as I do. That their husbands will make them giggle that cute giggle you get out of me. That joy that bubbles up from seeing you enter the room. I pray that our sons will get that cute little twinkle in their eye when they see their wives the way you do with me.

God has been so good to us these past 8 years. I cherish each moment we have had, even the hard ones! I am thankful that God has allowed me thsi time to love you. I pray that HE will grant us many years together to serve HIM and to raise our childrento glorify him.

I love you Jason....I look forward to many more years together.....

Time to Leave................LOL

I was able to get some sewing accomplished

For those of you who do not know these are called T-shirt dresses. You take a shirt of your choice and trim it as you wish on the bottom then you add  a skirt, either a premade one or your own. There are many ways to make these. They are cute, pretty, easy, ans cheap. I used a few shirts that were getting to short fo rmy girls.
SO here are some pics of the ones I recently completed.

This is Julia

This is Joanna
Ok, here image isn't working. But it looks just like Julia's but with Yellow trim on bottom.

Here is both girls.

Now these two dresses were made from long sleeved shirts. I just added the trim where I needed it. I like Joanna's the best. Julia wants lots of purple. I ran out of the trim so I could only do half a waist band. I plan on adding more all the way around.

Now these two I cut the skirts off two jumpers that were just too short. But they loved them!! So I just took the shirts that they came with and created "dresses" out of them! The girls LOVE them even more now!! Now these are a little too low cut for our standards. I am in the process of making some t-shirt underdresses as slips. I took two long sleeved white shirts that have a high nesck line. Then I cut off the sleeves and trimed the waist. Now I need to add a white skirt to the bottom and some lace to the hem so they can wear them as their undergarmets. This will take care of any low cut shirt issues we have!

I have also almost completed Gabriel's diapers. So I need to get pics of those and post those! I am also currently finishing up two jumpers for twins, those t- shirt under dresses, and some more dipes for Uriah.

Papa Bear Suprise..my thoughts of the day

Papa Bear suprised us and took us to the beach this afternoon!! We live close to it now that we moved. It was so nice!! It was chilly but it was great!! The children had such a great time running around and getting out of the house. They are so funny, they collected so many rocks! Yep, rocks, not shells. They like the smooth rocks that have been turned and turned in the ocean. They are funny that way!

Uriah absolutely LOVES the ocean. I had him in the sand playing but Papa Bear took the other little bears down to the water to watch the waves, too cold to go in still. He kept watching the waves and reaching out. So Momma had to take him down. He got so excited. It was cute. He wanted so bad to touch it. LOL

Again, this got me thinking of our LORD. God tells us in his word he is our Heavenly Father. He will watch and tend to us as a Father watches and tends to his children. Uriah loved the ocean. He loved the noise of the waves. The breeze at his face. He probably just enjoyed watching those waves move. But if Papa Bear would have let him down and let him crawl into the water, that would not have been good for him. In fact it could have and most likely would have led to his doom. As parents we are to watch out for our children, to protect them. The ocean is not a safe place for a baby to just go and play as he sees fit. Uriah is unable to make a descion that will keep him safe. He doesn't understand the dangers the ocean has for him. One day he will grow up and know, but only because we, his parents will teach him the dangers. God is this way also. He gave us his wonderful word, the BIBLE. It tells us so many amazing things and gives us so many warnings to heed. He doesn't do it to take away our fun, rule over us, or make our lives hard. It is just the same reason we have rules for our children. It is to protect us. To guide us. You see God's word calls us "sheep." I don't know how much you know about sheep, but they are pretty dumb animals. They MUST have a shepherd. They  must be led. They can not go out on their own. They will starve, die of thirst, or be eaten by wolves. They do not know how to care for themselves. We are the same way. We look at things in this world of ours and say " Oh that is fine. No big deal. That won't hurt me. I don't really have to do that." But in reality God's word tells us otherwise! We must remember to look to HIM, to ask HIM, to read HIS word and find out what it says.  God is so very detailed in his word for a reason. It was/is for us! We need HIM to be detailed!!

Anyway, that is just a thought I was having today! I am so thankful for a GOD who cares about my welfare and my families welfare. I am thankful that when I don't know how to handle something or the right answer for something....I can open the BOOK and find it! God is so gracious to us sinners. He has given us a manual for life, all we need to do is read it and study it....then APPLY it!!

Well, that is all on that for now!! Night!!

Momma and Papa Bear

So what have we been up to lately. Well Papa is working two jobs. His regular Science job and as a cook at Friendly's. He seems to enjoy the second job, which is good. I would hate it if he was miserable!! The extra $$ is helping us, as long as I am wise with it!!

He is also looking into getting his Master's degree sometime soon. It would be by correspondance. He was given a gift from his cousin so he would be able to get a degree in Bible. He is still not sure what he wants to get the degree in yet. Still praying and thinking about it. We will have to wait and see on that.

As for me.....well let's see...cooking, cleaning, laundry, sewing, diapers, training, teaching, and hmm....more cleaning!! LOL

At this time I am trying to get the twins and my spring and summer wardrobes done. My goal is to make the girls 2 skirts, 2 pairs of cullottes, 4 jumpers, 2 church dresses, 2 pinafores (aprons to keep clothes clean), 4 pairs of knee length bloomers, and 2 tops for each made. Not making very good process but I just have to get focused!! As for myself I would like to get 2 pairs of cullottes, 5 or 6 dresses, 2 or 3 skirts, and a few pairs of bloomers made. We will see what happens. I also need to get the new babies diapers made. I finished Uriah's, which came out GREAT!!! I need to make 12 contoured prefolds, 4 diaper covers, and 10 doublers in size small. I might make him some all in ones also but we will see. I have found that I like the prefolds with the doublers and covers better. I want to make some newborn sized ones also. I know that he will go through them fast as most newborns do!! I don't know how fast he will grow so I really don't want to have all these tiny little diapers that he wears for a couple weeks and that is it. So that is why I was thinking of just making the size small. Not sure still. Oh and I just remembered that I need to make Josiah and Uriah their shorts for the summer. You just can't find shorts the right length for boys anymore.

I am also working on getting all my materials ready and prepared for 1 st grade next year. I want to have it all prepared before Gabriel comes. I am hoping to start school in August. Josiah thought is was silly that we didn't do school in the summer. LOL But I explained it to him, he still thinks it is silly!! LOL I know that I will need mis June to August off to get into a good routine with Gabriel and Uriah. Not sure how all this will work, but God knows and he will guide me if I ask and if I follow!!

Well, I am tired and in need to a good night's rest!! Hope you enjoyed the updates. I will try hard to keep up and also post some other goodies!!!
