Happy Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY JOSIAH!!!

My dearest and sweetest son, you are such a blessing to me. I love you and thank our LORD everyday for your birth. You truly are growing into such an amazing young man. I look forward to the coming years to see what the LORD will do in your life.

Well, here it is. his 8th birthday. Boy does it happen way to fast! I honestly can not believe he is 8 yrs old. Josiah has given his heart and life to the LORD and seeks to serve him with his life. He will be getting baptized this month too. He wants to see God work in his life. He is such a special young man. I know the LORD has a will and plan for his life and I look forward to being able to take part in it.

Siah Bear

Oh where do I begin!! LOL He is an interesting and amazing child! His mind never stops thinking or imaging. He loves adventure, but not danger. He really enjoys seeking and finding things. He enjoys mystery and detective sort of things. I think he will love the Hardy Boy (older ones) books as he gets older.

He is still a lego maniac! LOL He plays with his legos non stop. It is really great. His favorite subject is history and he imagines being in those days. It is neat to watch his imagination go!!

He is also a very musical child. He wants to learn the piano so badly!! He also wants to learn how to sing properly. Someday!!!

Oh and his newest thing is that he wants to be able to speak many languages! He wants to know his own, Spanish, Sign language, Russian, Chinese, and not sure from there!!! LOL He thinks it is fascinating and is very serious about it. I know some spanish but not enough. He is always asking me for new words in spanish. He can count up to 10 and some more in Spanish. He also knows many words. He is still learning. I really want to look into a DVD set for the kids so they can all learn. He is also very good at the sign language he knows. He just thinks it is very important to learn as many languages as he can! WHo knows maybe God has some big plan for him. We shall see!!!

Growing up

Well I figured I would start with our oldest!!

Josiah is doing good. He is getting so big and so strong. He can read some words now. I can't believe it!!! He loves handwritting. He will sit for the entire church service with a pen, paper, and a list of words and practice writting them. He loves it. He really wants to be able to read well by the end of next year.

He has a love for Lego Star wars. He hasn't a clue really what star wars is but he loves legos. He has all of a sudden become able to build his own things and can use his hands just like daddy does when it comes to building. He uses his teeth less and less to pull legos apart! LOL

He also found a new love..KNEX!! I also enjoy them! I love building them with him. I guess you coudl say we have a builder not a sports enthusiast!!  He wouild rather sit at the table for hours and play legos than go outside and throw a ball. Neat how God creates each of us differently.

SO that is him in a nutshell. He is so smart and catching on to reading and writting so easily. Oh he also has a love for science!! He tries to mix things all the time tobe a chemist like Daddy!! LOL It is really fun and neat to watch!

He has definetly changed and grown our of the toddler stage! He is my big boy!!! He loves his momma and is so anxious about his baby brother!!

Siah, Siah, Siah...Josiah...

Oh now where do I start with this little MAN! He is 4 going on 10! LOL He is a very big boy. He will be turning 5 in November and is already in a size 1 shoe, size 7/8 shirt, size 6 pants, and his hands are just so big! LOL

Josiah is ALL boy! Really. As you can see by him in the middle of this tree! He loves WORK. Especialy when it has to do with the fire place. LOL He looks forward to being old enough to chop it and stack before Daddy comes home to suprise him. He loves to throw rocks, paper, toys, hmm just about anything. LOL I love watching him do things.

Josiah is a train and lego guy. He enjoys building and knocking down. Typical! LOL He has a love for Thomas the Tank engine. I am hoping that one of these days we will be able to take him on the Thomas Ride that comes to the east coast some Nov. for his birthday.

Josiah also loves his bible. He has lots of scripture memorized already. All on his own he decided to memorize Ps 23. He asked me to help him. Well when I went to start helping him, he already had most of it memorized! He has his daddy's memory. He wants nothing more than to be a missionary someday. He wants a wife and mission field. LOL That is his goal in life. He has a thing for Russia and had for a while now. We will see what God has for him, but he knows he wants to go to Fairhaven Baptist College and be a missionary. Those things you could ask him about and sure enough he would say it himself.

He also has a fascination with history! Just like his parents. We went to Gettysburg recently and he still can't stop talking about it. He wants to live there. Well that was until we started learning about the Western Frontier! Now he wants to build a covered wagon and travel west with the family! He gets so into history when we learn about it. He is really into Davy Crockett right now. Daddy and I are going to get him a coon hat and some cowboy boots! LOL He will love it.

Josiah is also smart like Daddy. He has his amazing memory. He can remember things I can't. Like I said he enjoys memorizing scripture. He also enjoys reading! Any good book is for him. He enjoys handwritting because it is so hard and challenging on him. I know he will do very well.

So that is our boy in a nutshell. I will write more as time goes on!
