Jun. 14, 2008 - Catching up and taking a break.

It was a beautiful day here in Kentucky. The sun was shining and it was just lovely. We took M on her first fishing trip, it was something special for her and her daddy for fathers day. They had a great time.

Luckily I had the idea to tie her Disney princess fishing pole to her chair because she tossed it in the lake 4 times, she also threw 2 bowls of night crawlers (worms) and our tackle box in. I am not joking, she tossed in everything she could find and she was super sneaky about it. Every time we would stand up to cast our poles out or to reel in a fish she would take the opportunity to throw something, lol. She didn't throw anything too far out so we got everything back, thank goodness. The only thing we didn't get back was a bobber that floated away, no big deal.

My sweet baby girl even caught a fish! It was about 3 inches long :) A tiny little blue gill. Her daddy caught a little bass and a big catfish that broke his line right at the edge of the water, lol. He was so disappointed . Maybe next time! I didn't catch a thing :(

The days are ticking by till our new little girl gets here, 43 more days till my due date. I have been very busy making room for her things and getting all her clothing and bedding washed. Her crib is set up, all I need to do is put the sheets and quilt on.  I still need to set up her bassinet in the living room, I keep my babies with me wherever I am, I never could get any peace of mind with M in another room sleeping, so I just move the baby around with me :) I have her carseat out and I need to wash the cover and put it in the truck, and of course I need to get batteries for her crib light and swing. I like getting these things done by 36 weeks, with my first pregnancy I drove myself insane worrying about getting things done and I wore myself out, lol. This time around I want to have everything done and ready to go so I can relax and rest and focus on taking care of my family.

With 6 short weeks till the baby comes I am constantly thinking about all the changes that are headed our way. I am trying to do as much as I can to make M feel included in the baby preparations and I am explaining why I am changing things so hopefully she can understand whats happening. I am looking forward to meeting our new daughter and I am so blessed to get to see M meet her baby sister. I have so many hopes for the 2 of them, I pray they will be best friends and love eachother as much as my sister and I do. Hopefully God will bless us with many more children in the future, but I cannot possibly know right now. I am so very grateful my girls will have eachother regardless. I also can't wait to see J holding the baby. Seeing him hold M melted my heart, it was an indescribable feeling :)

I will be taking a break from the internet for a few weeks, I need to focus on getting everything ready, and spending as much time with my little girl and my gorgeous hubby as possible. I will be checking in in a few weeks to say hello to friends and update here. Till then, I hope you are all very blessed!

May. 30, 2008 - Bloggy update

Just a little update on whats been going on around my home. We have everything in our garden planted except our corn, which hopefully will be in the ground tonight :) M and her daddy are wanting more sunflowers so they will probably plant more of those as well.

Yesterday was my 32 week doctors appointment, and everything went  very well. The baby is growing right on schedule. We had a 4D ultrasound while we were there and we saw her little face ! She has her sisters little nose . It is such a miracle to be able to see my precious baby, M and J were very happy to see her too. There were lots of tears in there, lol. Everything looked great and she is almost 4 pounds. By the way, there is NO question about it, she is without a doubt a girl!

M had her 3rd birthday on the 16th. She had 2 parties because we couldn't get everyone together for 1 party here at home. We had one party on the 14th at her daddy's parents house with her Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle D, Aunt S, and 4 cousins. She had a great time playing with her cousins who are 2 1/2, 4, 8, and 10. They had tons of balloons and she got some wonderful gifts. On the 18th we had a second party at my parents house with M's Granny, Papaw and Auntie Duck (my younger sister who M is named after). She got a new green Care Bear which she adored and some other great gifts to enjoy. She had a wonderful time popping balloons with her Granny and Papaw. She brought the ones she didn't pop back home with her, we still have about 20 lying around the living room :P All in all she had a great birthday, she is growing up so fast, she is such a smart little girl, we are so proud of you baby girl!

Yesterday afternoon after we got home from the doctor we went to the ball park to watch our niece L who is 8 play baseball. Unfortunately the game was canceled but we got to watch them practice, and we ran into some friends of J's and sat around and talked and watched the children play. M and L adore each other, L ran back to the stands a dozen times to hug M, lol. It was really sweet :) M loves baseball! She kept saying "I play ball!" I guess I will have to get her a little bat and ball to play with since she enjoys playing so much.

I hope you all have a blessed and safe weekend. We are staying home this weekend and moving some things in M's room around to make room for the new babies clothes, and we need to move our bedroom around to get the crib into a better spot, its too close to the air conditioner right now. Enjoy your weekend!
