A Loverly quote

"The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only - and that is to support the ultimate career. "
C.S. Lewis

I think this a very beautiful and true reflection.

A raw banana chocolate shake

Those who know me are aware how much i hate bananas. Well this shake is so good and its one of the only things I like with bananas in it. You may ask why I am eating chocolate whileI'm sick and its because this is raw chocolate and its so good and healthy for you all the raw deserts with it are so good for you you can even eat them when you are sick.

You may be thinking whats with all this raw food stuff well my Mom has gotten into raw food lately and i can't even say how good you can feal after eating raw foods ( and no we don't eat raw meat ). Yesterday for dinner we had raw Lasagna it was WONDERFUL it tasted so much like real lasagna except that it was cold and no one felt sick after!(usualy after eating lasagna we all feal sick :( ) Raw food is awesome!

Here is the recipe for the Banana Chocolate shake (from the Raw food real world cookbook) Matthew Kenney and Sarma Melngailis ( this is the only recipe from this cookbook we can make because of equipmet needed and time for many other this require many steps).

Serves 2-4

3 cups frozen diced banana

2 cups 30 second nut milk-blend 2 cups filtered water with 2 tablespoons raw almond butter

1/4 cup agave necter or 2 packets stevia

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 heaping tablespoons orgainic raw chocolate powder

pinch of sea salt

In a blender, puree all ingredients untill smooth and creamy.

All the ingreedients can be found at a heath food store.

Enjoy! Madeline

I have already had two cups today and right after I finsh with this I'm going to make another cup. What is your favorate kind of tea? I am also fond of Chai tea lattes and chai tea. My Grandma

This post is to Honor my Beloved grandma on her birthday but today she is celebrating in Heaven.

My Grandma taught me alot of things like my Love for sewing. My grandmother raised six children with the youngest being my Dad.  She was one of the most devout christians I have ever known,She was known to rise before everyone in the house to read the Bible and pray. She was one of the BEST cooks ever and I leared alot from her.  One of my most precious tresures that i have from her is her bible filled with notes and verses underlined that when i read it I always feal as if she marked it for me. I was with her at her bedside as she went to be with Jesus on May 9th 2008 The moment she was gone I think I cried the most I have ever cried for anything or anyone though i did'nt realize it I loved her so much untill she was gone

I am so grateful I could serve her in her last days!

I Love you Grandma Happy Birthday!

The Lovable Child

The Lovable Child~Emilie Poulsson

Frisky as a lambkin,

Busy as a bee—

That’s the kind of little girl

People like to see.

Modest as a violet,

As a rosebud sweet—

That’s the kind of little girl

People like to meet.

Bright as is a diamond,

Pure as a pearl—

Everyone rejoices in

Such a little girl.

Happy as a robin,

Gentle as a dove—

That’s the kind of girl

Everyone will love.

Fly away and seek her,

Little song of mine,

For I choose that very girl

As my valentine.

All I can say is a beautful expression of what daily life for a christian young lady should look like.

Early Summer

One of my favorite things in early summer in Minnesota is sitting in my room reading a book or my Dads office on the computer and fealing the cool breeze coming through the windows. This is only happens in the early summer and early fall. Because of the heat and cold. I love where we live because of our four seasons!

Their windmill is adorable and the top even turns.
Bleeding Hearts near the base on their gardening shed
The little old playhouse turned into a coop for their chickens. I love the vine growing on the roof
