Recently I was looking for some information regarding children's literature and quilts. What I found was a rather amazing site that has (or at least seems to) fantastic curriculum. The site is Learning to Give. The whole focus of each subject is around philanthropy, non-profit entities and giving back to the local community. It has stuff for K-12. I have not thoroughly purused the site yet, however, the set of lessons that I found and have printed out to use were excellent. They were well organized and easy to follow (at least for the purpose of reading). I haven't tried them out yet, but will be very soon. My one caution would be if you prefer to present things from a Christian world view, you may have to tweak information or adapt it. The site seems to be a little bit . . . well . . . worldly, I guess for lack of a better word. Check it out and let me know what you think. Blessings, MaggieRaye |
