I just thought I'd give you a little update on this. I emailed some close friends and asked them to be in prayer with me. Most said they would. One shared wisdom she had about asking the Lord for specific things, another asked about my quilts and how it was going trying to sell them (it's not, for many reasons), one shared a business possibility that she has shared before but the time was never right -- it might be now, and one, the best one of all, her husband said that they needed to pray for a prince for me. This one both blessed and surprised me. However, I think they are praying for an even bigger miracle than i am. See, the children and I talked about it, and I believe that for the Lord to bring a man into our family now he would have to meet the following criteria: The Patience of Job The Faith of Abraham The Passion of David The Forgiveness of Hosea The Persistence of Paul MattMann says he should also be into hunting and fishing and other "guy" stuff. That's a pretty tall order to wrap up into one mortal, human man. So I think I'll stick to asking the Lord to show me the what and how that He has for me, to be able to continue to do what He has called me to do, to be a keeper at home and to train up my children for His glory. Blessings and thanks for all your prayers, MaggieRaye |
