Follow Up - All I Want for Christmas . . .

Posted in Single Moms as Keepers at Home

Well, two days after the 10 days of prayer was up, the very day I needed to give an answer - that was the day the Lord "gently" reminded me that He had answered this question (more than once) over the last five years and for that matter He had answered it (more than once) over the last year.

I get easily distracted and discouraged.  I forget.  I asked the Lord to show me How to continue to homeschool, be at home and be free of the welfare system.

I got all the old messages about obeying, trusting Him, waiting on Him.  Ultimately, He reminded me of the gift that He has given me in quilting and teaching.  He showed me how I can do this for Him as well as for financial gain.  And He reminded me that I must wait on Him for some of the pieces to fall into place.

So now, I am waiting and refocusing.  I have been promised to contractor's bags full of used clothing at the end of the month and I already have a closet full of fabric now.

What I really need is to reconnect with a business consultant who will keep me on track for the next year when I get distracted and discouraged.  This too will be coming.

If only I could remember,

"Do what you can, where you are, with what you have."  - Theodore Roosevelt.

Blessings & Thanks for all your prayers,
MaggieRaye
