New Old Soap Box - Part 2

Posted in Single Moms as Keepers at Home

I hadn't planned on starting to blog again, ever.  Not really, just the occasional random thought or inspiration.  However, I'm still in a tizzy over the email I received yesterday.  Maybe because I'm totally there myself right now.

From the comments and private emails (Christy, if you ready this, PLEASE email me -- singleparenthomeschool AT yahoo DOT com) I just can't help but believe this is an opportunity for the Lord to do a miracle for so many children.

While many may believe I "deserve" to be where I am, I think the Lord makes the responsibility of Christians toward the poor and needy pretty clear and I'm sad, because it also makes the consequences of neglecting this responsibility equally clear.

If you aren't sure what on earth I'm babbling about check out my last post here:

I'm sorry, I didn't hyperlink it, but I'm on a tight schedule this morning and MattMann is struggling with multiplication as I'm typing.

I just watched the movie Amazing Grace about the man who fought to abolish slavery in England.  I actually watched it before I got the email and I can't help but feel the Lord's timing, as usual was perfect.  The man fought for many years to make people see -- it makes me think -- Oh Lord how long.......

I've been dabbling at this for years.  I piece of encouragement her, a drop of hope there

(Rabbit Trail:  I just noticed shadows on the wall in front of the computer and on the kitchen floor beside me - this means that sun is shining in the livingroom windows  PRAISE GOD!  The gray wintery weather of New England is really starting to drag me down. . . now where was I??)

I am overwhelmed by what to do . . . where to start . . . how to go about it.  I do have one idea that I think I'll follow up on this week.  I'll keep you posted.

Blessings, MaggieRaye
