BIG Faith

Posted in Single Moms as Keepers at Home

I don't remember the last time I updated, but I thought you all would enjoy this.  I've been quite discouraged lately.

Saturday when we were out taking a walk, I was talking with the kids about wishing we could get away, but since we moved home there is no where to go.  This is where we use to come when we wanted to get away.

I was even wishing that someone would just let us use a cabin/cottage somewhere for a weekend, free.  That just does NOT happen in the area where we live this time of year.  Well, not to normal people anyway.  But as I've known my whole life I'm not normal.

Today, a friend invited us to join them in a couple of weeks on an outing and guess what -- we get a free cabin on the water for the weekend.  All we have to do is bring our gear and our food.

I mentioned to a friend that I didn't realize God was listening, because I was just talking -- and my almost 9 year old piped in and said, "Of course God was listening!"

Well, most days I don't feel like I'm doing a very good job training them up for the Lord, but then there are days like this when I'm so glad God uses my little faith to help teach them to have BIG faith -- to show them that NOTHING is too big for God to do.

Praying that you're having a blessed summer vacation, and curious to know if God is doing anything like this in your life.

Blessings, MaggieRaye

God never fails to surprise me. Just when I think He has disappeared or I've sunk so low that He's done with me, He shows up! Praise God!

I just wish He would be a little more conventional and a little less surprising.

Cute blog site! Come visit mine sometime.

Thank you for posting what God has done for you and your children. He is so kind and loves to surprise us, but I forget sometimes. Your testimony is an encouragement to me. God often uses what you share to encourage me for days.

Love,
