Feb. 22, 2009 - Valentine's Day and the Tea Party

Thursday, February 12th:
A shot from the walk Moriah, Sarah and I took that afternoon

Friday, February 13th:
"Ooh, is that the button you push?"

Saturday, February 14th:
Valentine's cupcakes that I decorated using the leftover hearts from the cake I made

Also from Valentine's Day...
Mom and Dad ate dinner (just the two of them!) here at home, while the boys were on the computers downstairs, and we girls kept Micah busy upstairs watching VeggieTales Silly Songs on Youtube :D

While they went out for dessert and shopping, we played with the candy sweethearts they gave us :D

He kept looking away when I tried to take this one :P

Sunday, February 15th:
We all got small boxes of chocolates...it's an easy guess who this one belongs to ;) (Hint: ME)

Monday, February 16th:
This brown and pink fabric turned into.....

Tuesday, February 17th:
This dress for Moriah...which I ended up shortening a few inches because she didn't like the length. :P

Wednesday, February 18th:
Basically my whole day was spent sewing, so this was my relaxation in the evening (before another 3 1/2 hours of sewing!)...that was when the diningroom was still bare :D

Thursday, February 19th:
Not my 'official' photo for the day...Mom, Moriah, Sarah, Karah, Micah and I all went to my friend Rachel's house (an hour and a half away) for a special Valentine's Tea Party...I had fun getting pictures of the mountains on our way :D

At the tea party...my friend Stephanie (you'll see her in a minute) and her mom were there...and brought little Hannah along with them! :D I got to hold her for a few minutes...isn't she adorable?!?

Micah and I with Stephanie :D (note his horrified expression...he wasn't thrilled about being the only male amongst so many women!)

Stephanie's place card

Moriah, listening to the ladies talk (that was one of the fun parts...listening to the adults' conversations ;)

My tea cup

The girls' table...the Moms sat at another table :D

Candles...

We all had to laugh when we met Rachel's cat (hee...her name is Mabel Tribulation, which means Lovable Trouble...and I can see why ;)....she looks just like our cat Princess! :D

Rachel's sister Abigail, and Moriah

Holly (a friend of Rachel's family), myself and Rachel :)

Sarah wearing the Regency dress I made her the night before

Karah adored playing with Hannah :D

Mom (second from the right) with some of the ladies...ok so we spied on them and listened in to their conversations...a lot...it was fun though! :D

Sarah and Rachel's youngest sister, Rebekah

The five of us...

All of the girls in attendance plus one of the ladies...Mrs. C holding Hannah, Stephanie, Holly and Rachel, and in the front, Sarah, Karah, Abigail, Moriah and Rebekah

And one final picture from the day...

Friday, February 20th:
Karah spinning (note the interesting fashion sense this little girl has ;)

Saturday, February 21st:
Dad was able to find a table for the computers, so now the schoolroom is like a little library :D (one of the monitors is absent because he was testing his Mac computer with it at the moment)

Sunday, February 22nd:
The diningroom is no longer bare: we have a table! :D So no more cramming around the dinner table for meals ;)
