Hi Everyone, Time flies! I can't believe it's December! Only a couple of weeks until Christmas! I would like to share a saying I received from an email - I think it's so awesome! "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely with a pretty, well-preserved body; but rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming . . . 'Praise God! I made it!' " This little story will make you think. It's titled "Would You Run?" Imagine yourself in this congregation. "One Sunday morning during service, a 2,000 member congregation was surprised to see two men enter . . . both covered from head to toe in black and carrying machine guns. One of the men proclaimed, "Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ remain where you are." Immediately, the choir and most of the congregation fled for their lives. Out of the 2,000, there only remained 20. The man who had spoken took off his hood . . . he then looked at the preacher and said, "OK, Pastor, I got rid of all the hypocrites . . . now you may begin your service. Have a nice day." And the two men turned and walked out." Wow. Funny how it's so easy for people to trash God and then wonder why the world is in the condition it is in today. Interesting how everyone wants to go to heaven as long as they don't have to do, believe, or obey God's word. Sad how the crude, obscene, and vulgar pass freely through the public schools and workplaces, and yet the discussion topic of Jesus is suppressed. Crazy that people worry more about what other people think than what God thinks of them! If you would try your best to stay in your seat instead of run, or have any other comments, please leave a hollar here. ~ The Maiden |
