Another Composition Class paragraph. This is a tribute to current vetern friend of mine is Dane S. (I won't say his full name due to safety issues.)
Dane S. - From Big Brother to American Hero
My person for the shared information about a current or past veteran is a close friend of mine named dane Summerfelt. I have known him all of my life, growing up with him as a neighbor, baby sitter, close friend and substitute big brother. Now he is in his twenties, and joined the Marines a couple of years ago. The Marines Corp was amazed at Dane's knowledge, quick mind, and endurance. Proud to say, he was homeschooled all of his life. Just returnign from Iraq last week, Dane was part of the Mobile Assault Platoon which patrolled large areas scouting for terrorists. He had several close calls, to which he and his family thank God he is even alive today. From terrorists to bombs, he faced them all, being slightly wounded once. Thankfully, he is in North Carolina at the Marine Core Infantry, in Camp LeJeune now, and will be home for Christmas! Dane has influenced me all of my life and is one of my heroes today. I am glad he took the challenge to face our foes and fight for our country and freedom. This Land is free today because of the brave like him and many others.

Dec. 23, 2008 - Hello!
Thank you very much for the comment! It sounds like we are alot alike - I love horses too (you know that), I also play the violin and strive to be a girl "far above rubies". Actually some of my girl friends, their mom's and my sister & I have a Bible study just for that!
Nice reading your post! My friend's older brother is in the army - well, actually he's still at boot camp though. And I read you other latest post too (about the riddle), I can't figure it out either.
Have a wonderful CHRISTmas!! Do you want to be friends?
