I'm just starting to realize that the year is slipping away...
Here are some facts that make it very obvious:
Yesterday I had my last violin lesson and orchestra rehearsal for this year.... Which is kind of sad, but also exciting because it means I'll be learning new music and beginning the adventure of playing in two orchestras at the same time! ;) That should be fun! Also we've already performed two of our three concerts; one at a nursing home and the other at Fiesta Texas. You can read about our Fiesta Texas concert at my fellow orchestra member's blog. We will be having our final concert this Friday.
I've also noticed the many people driving home with Christmas trees tied to the top of their car and have been reminded of how close the holiday really is......
I'm looking forward to the start of a wonderful new year! I can't wait to see what God sends my way....;) This past year has been such an encouragement to me as I've seen myself and others growing so much. I've made so many wonderful memories I'm sure I'll never forget. I'm thankful for all the opportunities God has given me this year, and all the people He has placed in my life. Thank you all for being a part of my life!
Frozen flakes, shiver
cold, wet, beautiful
sparkling structures, gleam
Raymond A. Foss Yesterday we were very pleased to get a little snow!! Though it did not accumulate at all it was still fun to see! Weather like this hardly ever gets all the way down here!Alan enjoyed getting to play outside more than watching the snow!

The first time I watched this was when I really began to have an appreciation for music. This performance makes the music sound so alive! I love this piece. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Well, Thanksgiving's right around the corner so I'll post some things I'm thankful for:
God's mercy and forgiveness... music... you... a crazy, singing sister... great people I can't even remember how I met... an adorable brother... fall weather... amazing cousins... cameras... a happy, singing sister... my boots... a funny mom and dad... my violin... friends visiting from Washington... Mountains... banana bread... falling leaves... a guitar... green grass... orchestra... open fields... pine trees in Mexico... experienced violinists to learn from... new orchestra music... a full creek... wind... film music...
I'll be playing the first movement of this amazing piece tomorrow for another nursing home concert. Such a fun piece to learn and play! Unfortunately it's incredibly hard to master. ;)
Hello! My name is Emily. Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy reading about my daily life and adventures serving the Lord. I love music, and would play almost every instrument there is, if I only had more time. Currently I play violin, piano, some guitar, and can pick out little tunes on my Irish whistle. ;)Thanks for reading!
